Byron Chrysovergis shared insights into Metatopia’s journey, paths, and future vision.  Ilias Chrysovergis delivered an insightful talk on Developing a Holistic Metaverse using Open-Source Software, showcasing the impact of OSS.  Kostas Naskos highlighted the benefits of OSS-First Business Operations, demonstrating how open-source solutions drive business success.  Iason Malkotsis led an engaging workshop on Developing XR Applications Using Open-Source Software, providing hands-on learning for attendees. We also had the chance at our booth to connect with other companies and students, exchanging ideas and discussing future possibilities. 🌟 This past weekend, I had the honor of participating in the #FOSSCOMM2024! 2024 conference, representing Metatopia. During the conference, I delivered a talk titled: “OSS-first: The Strategy Transforming Business Operations”. 💡 In this presentation, we explored how open-source software (OSS) can be a game-changer for businesses, enhancing operational efficiency, reducing costs, and ensuring data privacy. We discussed key OSS platforms such as: #OpenProject, #GitLab, #NextCloud, #MatterMost, #OnlyOffice, #SuiteCRM, #OrangeHRM, and #GnuCash, showing how these solutions can replace proprietary software. 📈 Through real-world examples, I showcased how companies like Metatopia have leveraged the OSS-first strategy to increase flexibility, independence, and efficiency. We also covered the next steps for businesses looking to adopt OSS solutions and where to find support and resources for a smooth transition. 🙏 It was an amazing opportunity to share our experience and engage in discussions with the open-source community.
