👋Hello and welcome to ONCOSCREEN, a €13M flagship project funded by Horizon Europe 🇪🇺 research and innovation actions supporting the implementation of #EU's Mission on Cancer and focusing on the development of new methods and technologies for cancer screening and early detection. Here's a little bit of information about us 👇 ✔️ The ONCOSCREEN project will develop new technologies and methodologies for low-cost colorectal cancer screening and contribute to raising awareness on the disease and its detection. ✔️ The project consortium comprises 38 partners from 15 EU member states and associated countries. It brings together technical solutions partners, medical professionals, cancer research experts, cancer patient associations, and policy makers. ✔️ Only 14% of European citizens participates in cancer screening programmes. There is an urgent need for accurate, non-invasive, and cost-effective screening tests. 🗣️NEW BLOG #ONCOSCREEN has published a new blog on our website written by our Project partners in University of Graz. Artificial intelligence (AI) has emerged as a transformative tool in the fight against CRC. By leveraging advanced machine learning algorithms, AI systems can already analyse medical images to support pathologists with additional information during the diagnostic process. ✳️ #ONCOSCREEN Introduction series ✳️ Our next partner is Pagalbos onkologiniams ligoniams asociacija (POLA) POLA is leading a task on developing end user requirements and continuously adapting these requirements to end users’ needs. This task includes chairing design thinking workshops. POLA will also contribute with the cancer patient perspective to the task on the EU-wide uptake of ONCOSCREEN solutions. 🗣️NEW BLOG #ONCOSCREEN has published a new blog on our website about the Hospiton.lt event, with huge thanks to Lithuanian University of Health Sciences for hosting! From November 24-26, 2024, the Hospiton Cancel Cancer 2024, co-hosted by the #ONCOSCREEN project, MSD, Pagalbos onkologiniams ligoniams asociacija (POLA) and others, brought over 150 participants to Vilnius, Lithuania, to tackle challenges across multiple types of cancer.
