🌬️ Over €20 million in support for household electricity consumers in communities hosting wind farms! This funding, known as the "consumer surcharge" from wind farms, benefits the years 2021 and 2022. 💡 Many of these supported populations reside in small mountainous or island communities, highlighting the importance of sustainable development and support in these unique areas. ✅ Including the "surcharge for Municipalities", the total amount for 2021 and 2022 reaches €62 million, distributed as follows: ➡️ €23.1 million is allocated for reducing household consumer bills. ➡️ €39 million is dedicated to local projects executed by Municipalities. ➡️ Remarkably, 87.5% of these funds, over €54 million, originate from wind farms. The distribution of the €23.1 million to consumers will commence upon finalization of the list published by the Ministry of Environment and Energy (ΥΠΕΝ). More than €20 million of this comes directly from wind farms. ✅ Check out Hellenic Wind Energy Association latest #announcement with maps and tables detailing the distribution amounts per municipality, community, and technology: https://lnkd.in/dWXqqVUx 🌬️The faster the wind, the greater the benefits to local authorities! #windpower #windenergy #renewableenergy #energysavings #sustainablefuture #renewables #sustainability
#ask4wind https://lnkd.in/dWXqqVUx

During a recent event hosted by the Hellenic Association of PV Companies (HELAPCO), RESINVEST had the privilege of participating, with our esteemed PV Development & EPC Manager, Vangelis Liaskas, contributing to the discussions. This gathering, which focused on the future of #photovoltaic #energy in Greece, was marked by 2023's record-breaking achievements in the PV market. In 2023, the global market for photovoltaics reached approximately 400 GW, which means that on a daily basis we had over 1 GW of new PV installations. In Greece, the network was enhanced by 1.6 GW of new photovoltaic systems, raising the total connected power to 7 GW. This significant growth reflects the dynamic expansion of the solar energy sector in Greece. Our involvement underscores our commitment to advancing renewable energy and highlights the significant strides we are making towards sustainable development and energy independence. For more insights into this pivotal meeting, please visit HELAPCO's official website. https://lnkd.in/dKqrqEDT
