REUSE - Horizon Europe Project
Biomass Electric Power Generation
Advanced CO2 capture and conversion into sustainable fuels using a novel biocatalytic packed bed system.
Σχετικά με εμάς
Hi, we are REUSE! The REUSE project, funded by Horizon Europe, is pioneering a breakthrough in CO₂ capture and reuse. Using an advanced Rotating Packed Bed (RPB) system, REUSE integrates Carbonic Anhydrase enzymes and innovative solvents to efficiently capture CO₂ from biogenic sources. The captured CO₂ is then transformed into valuable chemicals like carbon monoxide and formic acid through a CO₂ reduction process. Running from 2024 to 2027, REUSE tackles key challenges in CO₂ utilization, from optimizing fuel blends and stabilizing flue gas compositions to developing new catalysts and scaling up sustainable CO₂ recycling processes.
