Last week, Smart Agro Hub, represented by Christina Simou, Erasmus+ Project Manager, participated in the Interim Partners’ Meeting of the PROVER project, in Tirana, Albania, hosted by Environmental and Territorial Management Institute. During the meeting, the PROVER Consortium reviewed the progress from the first year of implementation and planned the next steps. These include developing the Capacity Building Framework for VF systems to support efficient investment and operation, specifically targeting VET providers, as well as organising and implementing local capacity-building programmes. 🔜 Stay tuned for more! #PROVERProject #ErasmusPlus #EUProjects

Smart Agro Hub is pleased to share its participation in the online Kick–off Meeting of the Erasmus+ Project #DeepBioTech - Deep tech in entrepreneurship: immersing the next generation university startups and research commercialization in life sciences towards social and environmental impact. Smart Agro Hub, was represented by the Erasmus+ Project Manager, Christina Simou. Spanning 30 months, this interdisciplinary initiative merges expertise in life and social sciences to drive collaboration and innovation. Coordinated by the University of Lodz, and T. Bartosz Kalinowski (PhD, DSc), DeepBioTech consists of a strong and diverse consortium, dedicated to delivering significant societal benefits. DEEPBIOTECH will act as a catalyst for life science universities and innovation producers and will: 1) Transform life science higher education and research to become modern, entrepreneurial, digital and engaged. 2) Support life science students and entrepreneurs to immerse deep tech in their life science startups. 3) Facilitate life science spinoffs and technology transfer via deep tech innovations and trigger economic, environmental, and social impacts. 🔜 More information and details will be shared! 📢 Yesterday #WatsonProject held its online 𝗚𝗲𝗻𝗲𝗿𝗮𝗹 𝗔𝘀𝘀𝗲𝗺𝗯𝗹𝘆 & 𝗔𝗱𝘃𝗶𝘀𝗼𝗿𝘆 𝗕𝗼𝗮𝗿𝗱 𝗠𝗲𝗲𝘁𝗶𝗻𝗴, gathering over 70 participants from our 45 partner organisations across Europe!    This event marked a crucial moment to review and discuss project progress and future steps, as we have entered the 2nd half of our project and continue to move forward together towards a safer and more transparent food system in Europe. ✅ Our coordinator, University College Dublin, provided a comprehensive overview of scientific and implementation progress. ✅ Presentations from our partners SINTEF, INESC TEC, VTT, reframe.food and Smart Agro Hub highlighted recent achievements, challenges and upcoming steps in each work package. ✅ Our Advisory Board shared valuable feedback and recommendations to guide WATSON’s next phase. AMBROSIA Project – A holistic approach to food safety risk assessment across the supply chain, using AI and climate change models to enhance resilience and safety in food systems. 4. WATSON– Developing tools to detect and prevent food fraud across the food industry. 5. EXCEL4MED – Strengthening innovation ecosystems in the Mediterranean region. 6. TALLHEDA – Building a digital agriculture alliance in Greece and Serbia. 7. NextGenBioPest – Boosting crop yields and controling challenging pests & pathogens with minimal pesticide use. 8. SOSFood Project – Leveraging AI to drive a green transition in food systems, empowering stakeholders with data-driven, multi-scale insights 9. FOODGUARD – Developing innovative, microbiome-based solutions to extend food shelf life, reduce waste, and enhance food quality and safety. 10. MI4SaferFOOD – Using multispectral imaging to meet food safety and traceability goals (cascade of FOODITY) 11. TRUSTFOOD – Design and delivering short-term training courses for upskilling and reskilling of the labour force in the Food Supply Chain 12. PROVER project – Promoting Vertical Farming as a sustainable agricultural method in the Western Balkans. 13.
