We’re excited to share that our co-founder, Jimmy Nicolaides, was recently featured on Kind Talks, the inspiring podcast hosted by Erietta Kourkoulou Latsi. This engaging conversation touched on topics close to our hearts: 💡 Why second-hand kids’ clothes are a win for both families and the environment. 🌿 How parents can make more sustainable choices without compromising on quality or style. 🌍 The broader environmental impact of fast fashion and how we can all do our part. As a company built on the belief that every item deserves a second life, this conversation felt especially meaningful. It’s a reminder that thoughtful choices —like choosing second-hand— can lead to a brighter future for our kids and our planet. 🌱 Catch the episode and join the conversation about building a sustainable future for the next generation! 🌈 💚 Thank you Erietta Kourkoulou Latsi for having us! Listen here & let us know your thoughts in the comments! 👇 #SecondHandMarket #SustainableLiving #EcoParenting #KindTalks #Sustainability

Sustainability isn’t a niche anymore—it’s a business imperative: "Circularity is more than a trend—it’s a necessity for brands looking to not only comply with regulatory pressures but also develop a competitive advantage by taking a leadership position that commercializes sustainability." Leadership isn’t just about compliance. It’s about rethinking business models, innovating with purpose, and making circular fashion the new normal, the "better" choice. How do we get there? By making sustainable options more desirable, accessible, and rewarding. Read this very informative article by Paloma Jacome ♻️

Just wrote an article for Grounded World about my favorite thing on the planet: circular fashion. I’ve spent a lot of time researching circular fashion—tracking policy shifts, uncovering the latest innovations, and having deep conversations with industry leaders on what it really takes to transform fashion’s broken system. It all led to co-authoring a whitepaper that puts circularity at the center of the solution. Now, I’m bringing some of those insights to this article—breaking down the definition of circular fashion, spotlighting really cool next-gen material innovations and recognizing leading brands' best-in-class case studies. If you’re as obsessed with circular fashion as I am (or just curious about where the industry is headed), give it a read. Would love to hear your thoughts, questions, or hot takes—let’s chat!

👖 Levi Strauss & Co. joins other major denim producers such as Diesel and Gap who have committed to net-zero emissions by mid-century. ♻ As part of the plan, Levi’s also pledged to rely on 100% renewable electricity across all its company-operated facilities by 2025, and reduce its freshwater use during the manufacturing process in regions with high water stress by 50% by next year, compared to a 2018 baseline. 🌿 “Our climate transition plan embodies our commitment to doing our part, reaching our targets, and working with partners across our value chain to enable collective action to address climate change,” Jeffrey Hogue, the company’s chief sustainability officer, said in the Oct. 16 update. “These steps will not only move us toward our net zero climate ambition by 2050, but also strengthen our own business’s resilience to the effects of climate change.”

Great news for Greek startups, but will it work? Greece just launched a new golden visa to support startups. Investing €250k in a Greek startup will grant the investor EU residency. This is lower than (and I suppose meant to replace) the recently increased €400k to €800k thresholds needed to get a golden visa via real estate. I can already spot a few challenges to this working on a large scale: 1. How will startups connect with vetted foreign angel investors. And vice versa; how will angel investors access quality opportunities 2. Who will deal with the onboarding of investors with the famous Greek bureaucracy (we at Swaplanet suffered from this) 3. How many serious angel investors will write a €250k ticket to a Greek startup? That’s a huge amount for a single ticket by an angel investor 4. Forcing tickets to €250k can distort round sizes and allocations There is a solution to all this, however. If the elegibility rules grant the golden visa to angel investors investing in a fund, then the fund can source and onboard investors, close their fund and focus on pipeline, and diversify those tickets into chunks that make sense. My two cents. https://lnkd.in/dfD6vqd4
