The Museum of Cycladic Art was an enriching stop for our intern Dante, offering a deep dive into early Greek civilization. The minimalist beauty of Cycladic figurines, carved from pristine marble, speaks of an ancient culture both sophisticated and mysterious. Each exhibit—from everyday artifacts to ceremonial items—paints a vivid picture of life in the Aegean islands thousands of years ago. #Greece #Athens #CycladicArt #Museums #History

If you want amazing views of Athens you should hike up Mount Lycabettus, the highest hill in the city. Our intern Dante hiked to the top where there is a small 19th-century chapel dedicated to St. George. From the top you can enjoy panoramic views of Athens and see sites like the Panathenaic Stadium and Acropolis from afar. #Greece #Athens #MountLycabettus #Hiking #Acropolis

Dante’s trip to Mycenae was a step into the world of Homeric legends. Walking through the famous Lion Gate, he entered the heart of a civilization that once ruled the Aegean. Exploring the ancient citadel, he stood in awe of the Cyclopean walls—massive stone structures that seem almost mythic in their construction. Inside the Treasury of Atreus, he saw the grandeur of royal tombs, a testament to the wealth and power of the Mycenaean elite. #Greece #Mycenae #Agamemnon #Trojanwar #Archaeology

One site not to miss in Athens is the Kerameikos. Our intern Dante visited the site which was located within and outside the ancient city walls. It includes numerous funerary sculptures along what was once the Sacred Way, as well as the potters' quarter. There is also an excellent museum which includes the original sculptures found at the site. #Greece #Athens #Kerameikos #Museum #Sculptures

Athens is full of many statues and monuments. Just walking around the city you see these impressive statues which show the cultural heritage of Greece and the continued tradition of their public display. Dante recently explored the sacred site of Delphi, a place where history and myth intertwine. Walking in the footsteps of ancient pilgrims, he stood before the majestic Temple of Apollo, where the Oracle once delivered prophecies that shaped the ancient world. The Treasury of the Athenians, adorned with intricate carvings, offered a glimpse into the reverence ancient Greeks had for this sanctuary. Surrounded by the breathtaking slopes of Mount Parnassus, Delphi's timeless aura left a lasting impression, showcasing why it was considered the center of the world. #Greece #Delphi #Apollo #MountParnassus #Archaeology

Facebook/LinkedIn/Instagram/Threads/BlueSky: An excellent place to visit in Athens is Philopappos Hill. Our intern Dante visited the site which is located within a public park. Areas which Dante visited include the Philopappos Monument, Socrates' Prison, the Pnyx, and Kimon’s Tomb. The site has excellent views, is surrounded by nature and is less crowded than other viewpoints, and a bonus: it is free to visit! #Greece #Athens #Philopappos #Socrates #Pnyx
