Our company, Tikun Olam Europe, represented by our COO Dimitris Giannopoulos, made a donation on the 7th of February to the Isthmia Primary School. During our visit to the school, we had the opportunity to speak with Ms. Kossyva Kanella, the school’s principal, and Mr. Stefas Ioannis, the vice principal of the school, regarding the challenges and needs they face daily. We listened carefully to the difficulties arising both in terms of infrastructure as well as the educational processes, while also exploring potential ways to provide further support in the future. At Tikun Olam Europe, we believe in the power of collaboration and community support, and we are dedicated to contributing towards a brighter future for future generations. We sincerely thank the school’s administration and staff for their warm hospitality and open discussion, and we congratulate them for their tireless efforts and the wonderful work they do.

Exciting findings on the effects of medical cannabis on the behavioral disturbances caused by dementia. At the IACM Conference on Cannabinoids in Medicine held in Berlin, a study was presented showcasing the potential of medical cannabis in addressing the behavioral disturbances of patients with dementia. This randomized, double-blind, placebo-controlled trial, led by Dr. Vered Hermush at Laniado Hospital, examined patients aged 60 and older diagnosed with dementia. The study's results revealed that 68.8% of the participants experienced a significant reduction in agitation and 72% of the participants demonstrated significant improvement in at least one behavioral disturbance caused by dementia.
