When Travel + Leisure Co. asked me about a fresh angle for publishing a short description on a vacation spot in Greece, I came up with three options. To my delight, the editors were intrigued by Patmos, my backyard and a place I've been calling home since the early 80s. I can't think of many islands in Greece with such beauty, elegance, and sophistication, where I would leave my 9 and 12 year olds roam freely to capture the essence of Greek island life. Patmos is a private haven that exhumes a sense of belonging. Thankful, too, for the inclusion of The_Petra as a landmark of the island: a home with all the perks of a luxury boutique hotel, with life as is.
