“We are protecting the Environment…with actions – We Add Oxygen”. With this motto, our renewed partnership with AstraZeneca Greece will have as a result 8.000 new trees! On the 22nd of November, more than 260 volunteers from AstraZeneca Greece gathered at the same time in Lycabettus Mountain in Athens and Thermi municipality in Thessaloniki to plant native young trees, suitable for the local ecosystem. In Athens we had the honor to welcome Mayor Mr. Haris Doukas and Vice Mayor Mr. George Apostolopoulos who have embraced our initiative and in Thermi, the Mayor Mr. Papadopoulos was present along with his Staff.   Our goal is to strengthen the resilience of the local ecosystems and to add oxygen to our cities and land that is so much needed! The important work has just begun.

We welcome ΣΟΛ Crowe to our Alliance! Their generous contribution has enabled the planting of 500 trees in various regions across Greece, including areas affected by recent wildfires. Together with ΣΟΛ Crowe employees, we planted trees in Drafi, a region severely impacted by the fires. It was a truly inspiring experience, and a powerful reminder that we can all make a difference! This initiative fosters corporate social responsibility and raises public awareness about the importance of environmental protection. Thank you, SOL-Crowe, for enabling us to continue our work in safeguarding the environment and restoring Greece’s forests.

As part of its social responsibility programme, Posidonia has taken action to contribute to the reforestation of the Attica region. Posidonia funded reforestation efforts and participated hands on in the process, planting Judas-trees and cypress trees in the Peania area, in partnership with the environmental & humanitarian “We4all” organization. The Posidonia team is proud to be part of a large international network of over 1,000,000 people that We4all has brought together in an effort to revive ecosystems, combat climate change and provide essential resources to local communities. We are excited to share some highlights of the incredible event organised by we4all in the Acharnes municipality! 💚 Over 300 people came together - including families, volunteer organisations, and fire protection services, united by a shared goal to support nature and green our communities. Today, our colleagues in Greece spent the morning planting trees in Varimpompi, a suburb in Northern Athens at the foot of Mount Parnitha 🌱 This area has endured devastating wildfires in recent years, leaving much of the land barren. Together with we4all, Cubico employees planted 40 new cypress, oak, and carob saplings, supporting crucial regeneration efforts on the edge of the National Park. As communities like Varimpompi increasingly feel the direct impacts of climate change, initiatives like this are more crucial than ever, highlighting the urgent need to protect biodiversity and preserve our environment. #ClimateAction #Biodiversity #SustainableFuture #Reforestation #EnvironmentalStewardship
