We begin this year by looking ahead—exploring new opportunities, refining strategies, and driving innovation while staying committed to a sustainable and future-ready maritime industry. In the last quarter of 2024, we marked Hong Kong Maritime Week with global industry peers, exchanging insights and fostering constructive discussions. Our commitment to sharing expertise remains strong, with active participation in key events and initiatives. We proudly announced our partnership with Four Seasons Yachts, managing the ultra-luxury yacht, Four Seasons I. Additionally, we've relocated our Miami and Singapore offices to Blue Lagoon and Labrador Tower, respectively, to enhance collaboration and strengthen our company culture. This issue of #LeaderShip covers these milestones and more, including a feature on the #cruise industry’s post-COVID revival, a conversation with Harald Klein, our COO - Europe, a guide to takeover procedures for newbuildings, and a look at hydroponic installations aboard our managed vessels. We support the International Chamber of Shipping and encourage all maritime leaders to take part in the annual ICS Maritime Barometer Survey. In its fourth year, the survey seeks to gather insights on crucial industry issues, culminating in a comprehensive report that highlights current state, trends and potential solutions to the challenges we face. The survey only takes 10 minutes, and all responses are confidential. Scan the QR code below or access it here: https://lnkd.in/gFW45b6U

Earlier this month, our Chairman of the Board, Peter Cremers, and CEO, Bjørn Højgaard, unveiled a painting gifted by Fednav Limited in celebration of our 50th Anniversary. The painting, named ‘Ellesmere Near Grise Fiord’, is from Fednav’s private collection and was created upon a voyage by Canadian artist Hilton Hassell on board Fednav’s ‘Tundraland’ in 1974. Thank you Fednav for the thoughtful gift and the continued trust you’ve placed in Anglo-Eastern. We place great value on the long-term relationships we cultivate with our clients and the shared values that drive us forward in navigating the complexities of the maritime industry. #AngloEastern #Fednav

We are delighted to share highlights from our Hong Kong Annual Dinner in mid-January, an evening filled with celebration, camaraderie and recognition. The programme featured fun games, captivating performances, an exciting lucky draw, and a best dressed contest that brought energy and excitement to the night. Long Service Awards was also presented to 17 team members to honour their dedication and valuable contributions over the years. Similar celebrations were held across our major locations, including Singapore, Mumbai, and the Philippines. These events mark a strong start to 2025 as we stand united as One Team at Anglo-Eastern, setting the stage for continued growth, success, and memorable moments in the year ahead. It was our pleasure to join and sponsor the Annual Maritime Charity Dinner hosted by The Sailors Home and Missions to Seafarers in Hong Kong this January, where we were also recognised as a Highly Commended Ship Manager for 2024. We were delighted to participate in the INTERTANKO Seafarers’ Seminar held in Mumbai in late 2024. With around 300 attendees from the maritime industry, the Seminar lined up industry experts to share their insights on various topics. Of particular note, Mr Shyam Jagannathan, India’s Director General of Shipping, highlighted India’s role in the maritime industry and outlined the future of Indian shipping. Dr Nirupama Mankad from the Sailor’s Society delivered an engaging talk on seafarer wellbeing, and Dr Phil Belcher, Marine Director at INTERTANKO, provided a comprehensive security update. SIRE 2.0 was a major focus of the Seminar, where Abner Carvalho, Marine Director of our Singapore Office and Vetting Committee Member of INTERTANKO, Capt. Aaron Cooper, AFNI, Mr Mohd FAHMI Niza M., Capt Frans Ubaghs and Mr Sokratis Tzanetos presented their observations and knowledge on the inspection regime. Proudly sponsored by Anglo-Eastern, the event provided great opportunities for seafarers to connect with key figures in the tanker segment and to discuss topics of mutual interest. Thank you to INTERTANKO and everyone who joined and contributed to this successful event! #AngloEastern #Tanker #ShipManagement
