Our UK London Branch continued its cherished tradition of hosting a charity bake sale for a worthy cause. This year, over 25 colleagues volunteered to bake a variety of delicious treats; chiffon cakes, brownies, pudding – you name it, they’ve got it! Thanks to the enthusiastic response from the team and the people working in the same building, the goods sold out in just a few hours. All the proceeds were donated to Age UK to support their work in promoting the well-being of older people. Kudos to everyone who baked, contributed, and donated – you have made this holiday season brighter for those in need. #BEAUK #BEAVolunteers #CharityBakeSale #Community

As one of the founding banks, we were delighted to celebrate the Chinese Banks’ Association (#CBSA)’s 105th anniversary at a cocktail event yesterday alongside the Honourable Michael Wong Wai-lun, Acting Financial Secretary of the Government of HKSAR, as well as more than 100 esteemed guests from the financial sector and senior management of member banks. Adrian Li, Chairman of the Executive Committee of CBSA and Co-Chief Executive of BEA said, “Since its establishment, CBSA has been committed to serving the banking sector and playing a crucial role in Hong Kong’s financial development. On its 105th anniversary, CBSA has proudly refreshed its brand identity as well as its clubhouse facilities. Going forward, CBSA shall continue its mission to unite the banking industry in support of the city’s long term economic development, championing government policies and contributing to Hong Kong’s status as an international financial centre.”

The workshop brought together over 100 industry leaders and experts from the Yangtze River Delta region. Moving forward, we will continue to actively exchange insights and experiences with peers, with an aim to enhance the GSF landscape and to inspire other banks and financial institutions to embrace sustainable practices. With support from #BEAChina, the workshop was hosted by the Green and Sustainable Finance Committee of the Shanghai Banking Association, aspiring to raise awareness of green finance and exchange best practices among different institutions and regions. #GreenFinance #SustainableFinance #Sustainability

It’s amazing to see such a great turnout at the BEA x SJS Financial Literacy Carnival over the past weekend! More than 500 primary students, teachers, parents and social workers participated in the fun event, buzzing our BEA Tower in Kwun Tong with laughter and cheers. Centred on four money management topics, the interactive workshops hosted by BEA volunteers and the interesting game booths were designed to help participants differentiate between “Needs and Wants”, learn about “Digital Payments”, create a “Budget” and protect against “Fraud”. To top it off, McDull and McMug surprised the participants with their special presence🐽! Here’s a recollection of the highlights. Plastic pollution and marine litter have emerged as pressing environmental challenges of our time, impacting the health of our ocean and ecosystems. We must all urgently act to curb this mounting crisis. Joining forces with WWF-Hong Kong, our volunteers learned about the cause and effect of marine pollution, and how we could turn the tide to save our oceans by taking proactive steps in our daily life. The team also rolled up their sleeves to clean up the coastal area around the NGO’s Island House Conservation Studies Centre in Tai Po. #BEA #BEAVolunteers #Sustainability #Environment #Biodivesity
