【This is Hong Kong!】Reinterpret the Touching Moments of Chubby Hearts Hong Kong   Throughout the Valentine’s Day to the Lantern Festival, Chubby Hearts Hong Kong has turned the spotlight on the city with giant heart-shaped floating installations. These delightful design installations not only adorned the city’s skyline but also graced outdoor and indoor screens, as well as various modes of transportation throughout Hong Kong, bringing numerous surprises and joyful memories to both residents and tourists alike.   Although this remarkable public design project has come to its conclusion, we believe that #CHUBBYheartsHK has left an everlasting imprint of love and joy on the internet, showcasing the charm and diversity of Hong Kong to the world. 【Headline Story of DMatters Feb Issue: Illuminates the Beauty of our City, Bridges East-West Cultures with Love-infused Design】 In today's fast-paced world, people actively yearn for moments of respite, seeking chances to break free from the hustle of life. In this pursuit for tranquility, design has risen as a powerful medium, illuminating the inherent beauty of our cities and providing solace to weary minds. From February 14th to 24th, we curated and presented Chubby Hearts Hong Kong, featuring 30 showcases across 20 locations throughout Hong Kong. The project conveys a message of love and cultural fusion through its giant heart-shaped installations, providing us with an opportunity to reflect upon the significance of love and inclusivity. Through design and art, we can bridge the gaps imposed by language and culture, forging connections between people's hearts and minds. It serves as a reminder that love should not be confined to familial, friendly, or romantic relationships alone, but rather, it should be embraced as a universal value that unifies society as a whole. Let us delve into the depths of the project, uncovering its underlying meanings and sources of inspiration. 📸Lovely Moments of ❤️Chubby Hearts❤️ on Valentine’s Day! 🌹 Pop-up: 📍 Belcher Bay Promenade 📍 Flower Market 📍 Lam Tsuen Wishing Square 💕 The centre piece at Statue Square Gardens in Central will be on display from now until 24 February, from 13:00-21:00 everyday. ===== Heavy rain and strong winds can impact the operation of the outdoor floating installation. For safety reasons, the normal display is restricted to 6 to 8 hours per day, and an exclusion zone is established around the installation. The exact number of display days and timings may vary depending on the actual weather conditions. Visitors are advised to stay tuned to Hong Kong Design Centre’s Facebook and Instagram Story for the latest news before visiting the installations.
