SMEs are the backbone of Hong Kong’s economy, driving innovation and growth. Despite their importance, these businesses encounter significant challenges in securing short-term working capital. Fortunately, alternative lenders have gained traction for easier financing solutions over the years. At FundPark, we are proud to offer billions of dollars in small business finance to serve cross-border eCommerce SMEs, powered by our unique risk models and extensive data analysis. Recent HKMA’s efforts to establish a joint taskforce with banks to support SME lending in Hong Kong is a positive step forward. Another major milestone! FundPark has closed a major #ABS deal with HSBC being the senior lender to support digital SMEs in the Greater Bay Area. Today, we announced the closure of an asset-backed securitisation (#ABS) facility of up to US$250 million, of which HSBC will provide up to US$200 million as the senior lender. Together with the up to US$500 million ABS facility with Goldman Sachs, this latest financing round enables FundPark to deploy up to US$750 million in funding to support eCommerce entrepreneurs. FundPark is committed to support more small-to-medium sized (SME) eCommerce entrepreneurs in Greater Bay Area, as well as more broadly in Greater China. Backed by HKECIC - Hong Kong Export Credit Insurance Corporation and SCOR, we have collaborated in developing a market-first credit trade insurance solution based on our platform’s proprietary AI-enabled credit model to help cross border e-Commerce merchants across Greater China. Through the collaboration, HKECIC will offer protection for loans granted by FundPark. This unique underwriting solution, is a testament to our platform’s track record. Since 2016, FundPark has provided over US$2.5 billion in loans to e-Commerce merchants, helping empower and grow their business.
