The Hong Kong International Airport (HKIA) was buzzing with excitement yesterday for the “Three-Runway System 10km International Race," in celebration of the imminent launch of three-runway operations. Over 12,000 runners enjoyed the unique experience of planes flying by as they ran, making it a once-in-a-lifetime event! The integrated campaign was done in collaboration with Havas and Mindshare Hong Kong, which covered city-wide out-of-home advertising, social media, digital activation, and an immersive experience for runners at AsiaWorld-Expo. Link Group CEO George Hongchoy today officiated at the kick-off ceremony of “Link Golf Experience Day”, a roving initiative taking place at four Link malls in #HongKong over four weekends for communities to experience the fun of golf for free. He was joined by District Officer (Kwun Tong) Denny Ho, Hong Kong Golf Club General Manager Ian Gardner , local professional golfer Terrence Ng, as well as actor Simon Yam in the event. Hongchoy said, “Link is taking on title sponsorship of The Hong Kong Open golf championship for the next three years. This marquee event on the city’s sporting calendar draws in not only professional and amateur golfers at home and abroad, but also spectators from all over the world, injecting fresh impetus to our tourism and the government-led ‘mega event economy’ initiative. As a Hong Kong headquartered company with deep community connections, Link will help to promote golf on a community level starting with our ‘Link Golf Experience Day’.” In anticipation of the 15th National Games in 2025, where Hong Kong will organise golf games alongside seven other competition events, Link is raising its game to promote golfing in local communities.
