We are pleased to announce our Q3 2024 results. The Group delivered growth across its nutritional supplements category, a key strategic area and growth driver for H&H. The Adult Nutrition and Care segment performed well, driven by the strength of our core markets of mainland China and Australia & New Zealand where Swisse Wellness (part of H&H Group) reaffirmed its leading market positions. Our Pet Nutrition and Care segment saw a steady increase in sales, led by Zesty Paws (part of H&H Group) in its home market of North America, while we continued to establish the brand across Europe and Southeast Asia following a successful launch earlier in the year. The Baby Nutrition and Care segment continued to face challenges in mainland China due to ongoing industry challenges in the super-premium infant milk formula (IMF) segment. Despite this, we maintained our no.3 position in this category in mainland China, and expanded our market share. Rachel Chen joined H&H in the Guangzhou office in 2017, as Senior Manager of Group Tax for mainland China and Hong Kong. Alongside business expansion, her role quickly grew to oversee tax management in Southeast Asia, including Singapore, Malaysia, Indonesia, Vietnam, and other regions. Over the last 7 years Rachel has led transformative projects such as setting up the Group's procurement tower and IP centres, coordinating with supply chain, legal, IT and risk management. Since 2019, Ken Foo's journey at H&H has been one of significant growth and leadership. Starting as Senior Manager of Modern Trade Channel for the Singapore market, he quickly expanded his role to oversee sales in Malaysia and Brunei. Today, as National Sales Manager for Singapore, Malaysia, and Brunei, he continues to drive success across these key markets. A recent highlight was his team being awarded the "Best Rising Star Award" by Watsons Malaysia, for Swisse's outstanding growth in 2024. As the largest pharmacy chain in Malaysia, Watsons' recognition is a testament to the collective efforts from Ken's team in scaling Swisse Wellness (part of H&H Group) across Asia. When Ken first joined, it was just a small team of 2 and throughout his journey, he has witnessed countless moments of teamwork and collaboration. Today on World Mental Health Day, we focus on this year's theme 'workplace mental health,' underscoring the crucial need to support mental wellbeing at work - for the benefit of individuals, organisations, and communities. At H&H, we are committed to fostering a workplace culture that promotes open conversations, compassion, and mental wellbeing for our employees and the communities we serve. Our corporate charity arm, The H&H Foundation, further supports this mission by driving positive change globally, aligned with our wellness pillars: nutrition, movement, and mind. Our team at Swisse Wellness (part of H&H Group) Australia has been actively collaborating with organisations such as One in Five and Monash University to support the mental health and wellbeing of both our team members and the wider community. Together with Monash University, we launched a Fellowship into Eating Disorders, aiming to transform the narrative for those facing mental health challenges. Since 2019, Swisse has also partnered with One in Five, a mental health charity, to fund research into the causes of mental illness and to develop improved treatments and cures. With one in five Australians currently experiencing mental distress—and projections suggesting this figure could rise to one in two—addressing mental health is more critical than ever.
