During the visit, we explored the Electromagnetic Fields Testing Lab and laboratories for nanomaterials and 3D printing, gaining insights into HKPC's cutting-edge technologies. We also delved into the revolutionary "Microfactory" concept at the Future Manufacturing Hall and discovered various smart mobility and green transportation innovations at the Smarter Manufacturing Showroom. Our discussions with HKPC were both meaningful and forward-looking. As material experts, NAMI is excited to combine our strengths in nano and advanced materials with HKPC's manufacturing expertise. 【2024 DMP Greater Bay Area Industrial Expo Concluded Successfully】 The 2024 DMP Greater Bay Area Industrial Expo, a 4-day event held at the Shenzhen World Exhibition and Convention Center, concluded successfully. This year marked FLAIR's debut at the expo,  where it connected with industry and scientific research teams from all around the globe. Together with its spin-offs, FLAIR showcased its 5 commercialised platform solutions, attracting attention from the media and industry professionals. At the event, Dr. Frankie Liu, Head of Computer Vision at FLAIR, emphasised the innovative technology platforms’ role in new industrialisation. He also highlighted how this innovation can drive industrial upgrading and transformation, offering new pathways to elevate Hong Kong's status as an international innovation and technology hub. During the event, Mr Edmond Lai, Chief Executive Officer of FLAIR, spoke to numerous media outlets and highlighted, "Our industrial AI solutions leverage various practical application values to address business challenges. This data-driven approach has significantly improved solution implementation success rates." He cited the logistics platform technology launched at the event as an example. This solution provides real-time monitoring and data analysis, and mitigates bottlenecks for air cargo terminals in Hong Kong, resulting in significant operational efficiencies. FLAIR prioritises addressing genuine customer challenges and ensuring solution effectiveness by employing a practical, data-driven approach that utilises practical application values over simulated data to develop AI solutions. FLAIR will continue to strive to enhance the flexibility and adaptability of its AI solutions and further delve into the capabilities of large-scale models. [RTHK ”Hong Kong Connection”: New Productive Forces and New Innovation] Mr Edmond LAI, Chief Digital Officer of HKPC, introduced trends in New Productive Forces, and shared how HKPC help enterprises to enhance productivity through on RTHK's ”Hong Kong Connection”. The programme highlighted that HKPC has helped a “Made-in-Hong-Kong” nanofibre material manufacturer to set up four smart electrospinning production lines and waste gas treatment system. Edmond also mentions HKPC has been advocating on New Industrialisation, at the same time offering FutureSkills training and technical supports for local enterprises. Edmond also encouraged enterprises to make good use of I&T resources, including the series of measures launched by the HKSAR Government to promote local I&T development. Going forward, HKPC will strive to work closely with the industry, to provide application scenarios for research and development, thereby enhancing the local I&T ecosystem.
