Humansa had the honor of hosting a seminar led by Dr. Mok Chung Tong at our Flagship Center at Victoria Dockside. The focus was on preventing Alzheimer’s disease, with Dr. Mok emphasizing that it’s never too early to start prevention. This aligns seamlessly with Humansa’s Future Health Program, which takes a comprehensive and proactive approach to longevity. Our program focuses on assessing key health areas directly linked to the “Four Horsemen” diseases—heart disease, cancer, Alzheimer’s, and metabolic diseases. These conditions are the leading causes of death and significantly impact an individual’s biological and metabolic age. Our assessments are categorized into five main functions: Physical health, Cardiometabolic health, Cognitive health, Mental well-being, and Nutritional well-being. A key takeaway from Dr. Mok’s presentation was that 45% of dementia cases can be prevented by maintaining brain health through the optimization of modifiable risk factors. He also shared insights from his extensive work in the validation and clinical application of a novel Machine-Learning Index developed by a spin-off company of the Chinese University of Hong Kong (CUHK). This innovative technology provides an easy screening method for early Alzheimer’s detection, particularly among individuals with mild cognitive impairment.
