🌟 A Remarkable Day with the Migros Hong Kong Team! 🌟 Our recent team outing was a fantastic blend of fun and camaraderie. We engaged in a variety of exciting and challenging indoor games, which not only entertained us but also strengthened our teamwork. We also had the pleasure of sharing delicious food and creating unforgettable memories aboard the historical Star Ferry, as we cruised through the iconic Victoria Harbour. These experiences have brought us closer together and reinforced our team spirit. We eagerly anticipate more events that foster such unity and enjoyment.

Migros Asia hosted it annual “Supplier Conference 2024”. Great event hosted by our SQA team Kenneth Hui Ritika Malik . Our senior management team, including our managing director engaged with more than 30+ suppliers to discuss & align the migros vision on new buisness strategies. Exciting Visit to Yantian Terminal On November 8th, we teamed up with one of our logistics partner, Kuehne + Nagel, for an insightful visit to Yantian Terminal and their warehouse. It was an unforgettable experience where we delved into the logistics processes between Migros and K+N, explored terminal operations, and learned about Migros cargo consolidation. Migros Asia is proud to be part of the Graduate Trainee programme by Migros Supermarkt AG / Migros-Genossenschafts-Bund & Migros-Gruppe / Groupe Migros / Migros and to offer 6-months tenures for young professionals in Hong Kong and India. Currently, Johanna Krebs works at Migros Asia and as her rotation is coming to an end, we wanted to know more from her and her experience with us. Enjoy the interview below 😍 In case you are a Graduate Trainee at Migros too, we are looking forward to have you with us in the future! --- If you had to describe your experience using only emojis, which ones would you choose? 📦 🌇 😍🍜🥠🎐🐉🏝💘   What were your main responsibilities during your tenure with us? My tasks were split into three parts: > Firstly, I got to manage & take part in various Business Operations projects, such as collecting data & conducting analyses for strategy discussions, setting up an internal Knowledge Exchange Hub, aligning and recording of various processes and setting up Customer Satisfaction Surveys. This gave me unique insight into internal and external processes. > Secondly, I had the pleasure of leading several communicative projects such as building the new company website, setting up Visitor Guides for the M-Asia offices and curating the Monthly Market Update. Overcoming several challenges and handling negotiations with external vendors was great fun. > And, last but not least, I got to be part of the 'micasa' merchandising team, where I experienced the daily business of non-food product sourcing, from the first idea, through various rounds of sampling (including meditatively unpacking and re-packing box over box), discussions with suppliers, implementation of packaging artwork, up until the final quality check and approval of a shipment.   What was your most memorable moment during the past 6 months? > The factory visits and the various shared meals in & out of the office (from breakfast, to Dim Sum, to Raclette on the 1st of August 😋)   What advice would you give to future Trainees at Migros Asia? > First of all, if you get the chance to be a trainee at M-Asia, do it!! Being a trainee at M-Asia gives you the opportunity to acquire great knowledge of all steps of a Migros product sourced in Asia, before it ends up in the shelves and our customers' homes. Use that chance by exchanging with as many M-Asia staff as possible - each team has different & interesting every-day tasks and challenges. Not to mention there are endlessly many great things to discover in and around Hong Kong! ❤️
