#Austrian National Tourism Board, in collaboration with 17 Austrian exhibitors, recently hosted a series of promotional activities across four major Chinese cities: Beijing, Chengdu, Guangzhou, and Shanghai. This initiative aimed to showcase Austria's diverse tourism resources while addressing the high-end needs of Chinese travelers. Miki Travel team was invited to engage in in-depth discussions, providing valuable insights on how to better meet these needs, enhance service levels, and create a tailored Austrian travel experience. Chinese tourists play a crucial role in the Asian market and rank among the top 15 source countries for visitors to Austria. Recognizing this, the Austrian National Tourism Board places great emphasis on the Chinese market and aims to strengthen tourism cooperation between the two countries through these initiatives. Notably, in the summer of 2024, Austria experienced an impressive overnight growth rate exceeding 100% compared to 2023, reflecting the increasing interest and demand from Chinese travelers. With the gradual resumption of direct flights between China and Austria, we anticipate a growing influx of Chinese tourists eager to explore Austria.
