  • 𝐒𝐇𝐀𝐑𝐄𝐃 𝐉𝐎𝐘 𝐅𝐎𝐑 𝐈𝐍𝐂𝐋𝐔𝐒𝐈𝐎𝐍 𝐀𝐓 𝐂𝐇𝐑𝐈𝐒𝐓𝐌𝐀𝐒 It is Christmas in the heart that puts Christmas in the air. MOL believes that shared joy is double joy. Giving gifts is our way of sharing joy and love among our employees and their families. With gifts, we bring pleasure, show affection, and express feelings. Strengthening social connections with others makes us happier! This year, we have prepared a Christmas Gift for our employees: low-sugar assorted cookies from Gingko House 銀杏館 (https://lnkd.in/fPJaAwu), a social enterprise that promotes and creates employment opportunities for the elderly. By choosing these delicious treats, we are not just providing no additives and preservatives cookies to our employees, but also supporting employment opportunities for the elderly. We hope to foster an inclusive environment and create a ripple effect in our community. While we celebrate the joy of Christmas, we also demonstrate our Human Capital Vision of Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion (DEI) in both society and the workplace. Love is all around us! Merry Christmas and Happy New Year! #MOL #Christimas #Gift #GingkoHouse #inclusive #DEI

【Attending Asian Logistics, Maritime and Aviation Conference (ALMAC) @Hong Kong】 The 14th Asian Logistics, Maritime and Aviation Conference (ALMAC), a global event themed “Shaping the Future of Supply Chains: Resilience and Sustainability”, was held on November 18 and November 19, 2024 in Hong Kong. It was organised jointly by the Hong Kong Special Administrative Region (HKSAR) Government and the Hong Kong Trade Development Council (HKTDC). There were about 2,200 participants from over 30 countries and regions. Mr Jotaro Tamura, MOL’s Senior Managing Executive Officer, responsible for East Asia, South East Asia and Oceania Area, was invited as a key speaker in the panel discussion. He shared his unique perspectives and engaged in lively discourse with multiple experts and/or stakeholders. Audience participation was encouraged through Q&A sessions, and it had fostered a rich and informative experience to the attendees. “Hong Kong is connected to the maritime industry and the maritime industry is connected to Hong Kong, which makes Hong Kong significant in all aspects,” he said. Simultaneously, MOL was under the spotlight because we were displaying our model ship “Bauhinia Spirit” in the FSRU (Floating Storage and Regasification Unit) project at our booth in ALMAC 2024. It attracted the eyeballs of all the visitors and the public awareness of MOL’s BLUE ACTION was very much elevated. #MOL #shipping #ALMAC #FSRU #BLUEACTION

  • 𝐁𝐨𝐨𝐬𝐭𝐢𝐧𝐠 𝐔𝐩 𝐌𝐎𝐋 𝐨𝐧 𝐖𝐈𝐌 𝐌𝐚𝐬𝐬𝐚𝐠𝐞 𝐃𝐚𝐲! The health and well-being of our employees have always been MOL top concerns because employees are our valuable assets.  Different activities have been being carried out bearing this purpose of sustaining the human capital of MOL. Our Women in MOL Committee (WIM Committee) organized a Massage Day on a Friday in November to recharge our employees’ mind and body.  All participants were unwinding from their work stress from a 15-minute shoulder and neck massage; and relaxing in a peaceful time with calming music and a cup of herbal tea afterwards. MOL is always proactive in favour of women’s coming back to pursue their career goals at their own will irrespective of their age and this has been one of our key initiatives in espousing Diversity, Equity and Inclusion (DEI).  Therefore, WIM Committee specially invited skilled female massage therapists from a non-profit organization (Methodist Centre 循道衛理中心) which has been providing training to middle-aged women to master new livelihood skills to return to the workplace.  We attributed our Massage Day success to the therapists’ professional & superb skills. In this activity, employees can relax and relieve stress, and the Company can also benefit from increased productivity resulted.  WIM Committee would continue to organize similar activities for the mutual benefits of all stakeholders.  Just continue to stay tuned … #MOL #WellBeing #HumanCapital #MassageDay #DEI #MethodistCentre

  • 𝗕𝗟𝗨𝗘 𝗔𝗖𝗧𝗜𝗢𝗡 𝗳𝗼𝗿 𝗔𝗟𝗟 – 𝗘𝗺𝗯𝗿𝗮𝗰𝗲 𝗡𝗮𝘁𝘂𝗿𝗲 𝗯𝘆 𝗚𝗿𝗮𝘀𝘀 𝗖𝘂𝘁𝘁𝗶𝗻𝗴 𝗳𝗼𝗿 𝗕𝗶𝗼𝗱𝗶𝘃𝗲𝗿𝘀𝗶𝘁𝘆 𝗶𝗻 𝗠𝗮𝗶 𝗣𝗼 Stemming from the sustainability initiative of "BLUE ACTION MOL", MOL Hong Kong colleagues (from different MOL group of companies across various nationalities) attended the “Reserve Ranger Volunteering Experience at Mai Po, Yuen Long, Hong Kong” organized by World Wide Fund (WWF) to manage and maintain ideal habitats for wildlife together and to protect the biodiversity at Mai Po by cutting overgrown grass and exotic plants. It was a very hot day in October when we went to Mai Po. All the participants got training on the proper procedures of grass cutting by using the sickles safely. We were instructed to hold the stems of grass in one hand while swinging the sickle from left to right (for a right-handed user) with the other hand. After hours of effort, we were fully covered in sweat due to the extreme heat, but we had got trolleys of overgrown grass which could even become animal feed for the buffaloes in Mai Po especially during autumn and wintertime. Exotic plants, which would possibly cause problems to Mai Po natural ecosystem, were eradicated by removal simultaneously. We are proud of having successfully put our “BLUE ACTION” into practices because we ALL believe that action speaks louder than words. “BLUE ACTION MOL” doesn’t become reality through magic; it takes sweat, determination and hard work. We have chosen this activity-based learning program to habituate ourselves to sustainability and biodiversity in our daily lives. Although this activity seems to be a small act, every act creates a ripple with no logical ending. #MOL #BlueAction #Sustainability #Biodiversity #MaiPo #WWF #Sickle

  • 𝗘𝗺𝗯𝗿𝗮𝗰𝗶𝗻𝗴 𝘁𝗵𝗲 𝗠𝗼𝗼𝗻𝗹𝗶𝗴𝗵𝘁 𝗮𝗻𝗱 𝗦𝗵𝗮𝗿𝗶𝗻𝗴 𝘁𝗵𝗲 𝗛𝗮𝗽𝗽𝗶𝗻𝗲𝘀𝘀 𝗱𝘂𝗿𝗶𝗻𝗴 𝗠𝗶𝗱-𝗔𝘂𝘁𝘂𝗺𝗻 𝗙𝗲𝘀𝘁𝗶𝘃𝗮𝗹 The Mid-Autumn Festival, or the moon festival, is a celebration of the rise of the full moon that occurs closest to the autumnal equinox. The symbolic meaning of a full moon is actually a reunion of all family members. This festival originates from traditional moon worship rituals in China but is now observed in many other countries as well. Intending to foster a sense of unity among our culturally diverse MOL colleagues from more than 10 countries, the Mid-Autumn Festival Celebration was held to provide an excellent opportunity for all of us to gather together for more interaction and active engagement, through the sharing of mooncakes and seasonal fruits of different auspicious meanings. The vibrant colours of the lanterns created a festive vibe in MOL Hong Kong office. Riddles were written on the paper tags hung under the lanterns so as to add more fun to the activity. Environmental friendliness, on the other hand, is never forgotten and this concept is permeating any of our events and activities. All participants were encouraged to bring their own tableware to reduce waste and to achieve the ultimate goal of a plastic-and-disposable-free society. MOL is strong together. Enjoy the reunion and the time to share happiness with one another during Mid-Autumn Festival. #MOL #MidAutumnFestival #EmployeeEngagement #Diversity #Unity

  • Practice Makes our Summer Interns Perfect for a New School Year This year, MOL hosted 13 interns, representing a wide range of degree disciplines including Accounting, Global Operations Management, Marketing, and IT from various universities in Hong Kong. During their summer internship, they immersed themselves in the maritime transport industry while benefiting from on-the-job coaching and training from our dedicated mentors. They engaged in our business-sharing sessions and activities such as "MOL Body Fit Day", “DE&I Festival”, and "Boat Tour cum Sharing Session 2024" (organized by the Transport and Logistics Bureau). These experiences significantly enhanced their professional network and provided valuable insights to the Hong Kong maritime industry and its career opportunities. We were especially delighted to welcome back Amy, our HR intern last year. Throughout these two summers, Amy has demonstrated her skills and enthusiasm in pitching in to perform as a perfect teammate while gaining invaluable empirical HR knowledge and experience as well at the same time. We truly treasure her contributions during her internship with us. Most importantly, it was a special highlight this year that each intern was granted the opportunity to present their learnings and propose innovative ideas to our management team, effectively showcasing their personal growth and professionalism. As we bid farewell to the interns, we celebrate their graduation and achievements. Their engagement has left a lasting impact on our company. We continue to extend our best wishes for their future endeavours. Internship really matters because it is beyond a doubt that all our knowledge begins with experience while knowledge is of no value unless you put it into practice. #Internship #FutureLeaders #TeamGrowth
