We’re thrilled to share a glimpse of the historic moment as the Seaspan Belief delivered the season's first cherries during Chile Week in Guangzhou. 🚢🍒 Our very own Diego Navarro Calderon was on-site to witness this milestone firsthand. This event underscores the robust trade relationship between Chile and China, especially in the fresh fruit export sector, with cherries playing a pivotal role. During the 2023–24 harvest season, China imported 377,000 tons of Chilean cherries, accounting for 91% of Chile's total cherry exports. Let’s kick off #CherrySeason together!

The Chile Week in Guangzhou started with a landmark moment: the arrival of the season's first Cherry Express aboard the Seaspan Belief! 🚢 The vessel entered the market at 11 PM, celebrated with an official event attended by Fruit of Chile authorities, ProChile, market representatives, and our very own Ops Manager for Asia, Diego Navarro, who witnessed the occasion firsthand. QIMA Produce was excited to be present at the first arrival of the season of Chilean cherries in China! 🍒 The varieties include Cherry Crunch in sizes L, XL, and J. The enthusiasm for Chilean cherries is running high. The initial shipment consisted of only 80 boxes in sizes L, XL, and J, all of which have been presold.
