  • Unfortunately, supply chains, particularly through packaging materials, significantly impact environmental pollution. Here are some updated key points and data: Packaging Waste: Packaging materials, especially plastics, contribute heavily to waste. In 2021, global plastic packaging waste reached approximately 141 million metric tons and continues to increase. Greenhouse Gas Emissions: The production and disposal of packaging materials contribute to greenhouse gas emissions. The packaging sector is responsible for about 5% of the global carbon footprint. Resource Consumption: Packaging production consumes large amounts of natural resources, including water and energy. This not only depletes resources but also leads to pollution during the extraction and processing stages. Pollution: Improper disposal of packaging materials, especially plastics, leads to environmental pollution, affecting land and marine ecosystems. An estimated 8 million metric tons of plastic waste enter the oceans each year. Impact on Health: We all drink and eat plastic. There are about 51 trillion microplastic particles in the ocean. According to Harvard University, microplastics increase the risk of heart attack, stroke, and death. Efforts are being made to develop sustainable packaging solutions to mitigate these impacts, and we are actively working on it as well. However, there’s still a long way to go. Work with us and make a real difference in creating sustainable supply chains. We have several solutions in place that already make a big difference. #Sustainability #EnvironmentalImpact #PackagingWaste #GreenhouseGasEmissions #ResourceConsumption #Pollution #Microplastics #SustainableSolutions #SupplyChain #EcoFriendly #GreenPackaging
