Aside from the usual merriment and gift-giving this season, here's our Christmas Wishlist for a more inclusive holiday celebration: 🎁 𝐏𝐚𝐭𝐢𝐞𝐧𝐜𝐞 & 𝐔𝐧𝐝𝐞𝐫𝐬𝐭𝐚𝐧𝐝𝐢𝐧𝐠: Take a moment to listen and appreciate the unique perspectives of neurodivergent individuals. With patience, one can try to understand and adapt to the communication styles and needs of neurodivergent individuals without rushing them. 🎁 𝐈𝐧𝐜𝐥𝐮𝐬𝐢𝐯𝐞 𝐂𝐨𝐦𝐦𝐮𝐧𝐢𝐜𝐚𝐭𝐢𝐨𝐧: Speak clearly and kindly, making sure everyone in the room feels heard and valued. Use clear, direct language and visual aids when necessary; avoid idioms and metaphors as that can be confusing to some. 🎁 𝐑𝐞𝐬𝐩𝐞𝐜𝐭 𝐟𝐨𝐫 𝐒𝐞𝐧𝐬𝐨𝐫𝐲 𝐏𝐫𝐞𝐟𝐞𝐫𝐞𝐧𝐜𝐞𝐬: Be mindful of sensory sensitivities by minimizing exposure to overpowering smells, sounds, or lights. A heartfelt thank you to this rock star team for their dedication, ideas, and tireless efforts in driving our mission forward. 🌟 Together, we’ve achieved so much: ✅ Expanded employment opportunities for neurodivergent individuals through our monthly events in collaboration with Museum CAFE8 and ESF Jockey Club Sarah Roe School ✅ Delivered impactful corporate training programs, exclusively with neurodivergent trainers, further expanding employment opportunities to under represented segments of society ✅ Distributed thousands of our free lanyards and buttons, raising awareness, and changing lives We’re proud of what we’ve built this year and excited to continue focusing on our simple but powerful pillars in 2025!!
