"Growing up, I was told that science wasn’t for me because of my blindness, but I refused to accept that narrative." Dr. Mona Minkara, American bioengineering professor at Northeastern University and scientist, defied expectations to excel in STEM, lead groundbreaking research and inspire change. Diagnosed with blindness at seven, she now advocates for inclusivity through her YouTube series Planes, Trains and Canes, reimagining what’s possible for disabled travelers and showcasing accessibility's transformative power. "Representation is also key. We need more visibility of disabled travellers in travel media to challenge stereotypes and highlight diverse experiences. Ultimately, I want the travel industry to embrace the idea that accessibility benefits everyone, not just those with disabilities." https://lnkd.in/gQj-Xwg4 This story is part of Tatler Weekend and Front & Female Changemakers, celebrating women who create lasting impact. #Healthcare #Innovation #Travel

The weigh-in: Should the next generation be obliged to continue their family business or legacy? Roman Chao of Cheuk Nang Holdings Limited believes it's a duty to honour his family’s legacy, balancing tradition with innovation. For him, contributing to the business is a way to respect his family’s foundation while driving progress. Julian Yau of Puyi Optical however, sees obligation as tied to personal strengths and goals. He argues that true value comes from making a broader societal impact, whether it is within the family business or not. What’s your take? Should we feel a deep obligation to continue the family legacy, or is it more about creating meaningful impact wherever we are? Share your thoughts with us below. #Business #Strategy
