Indigenous Peoples play an essential role in safeguarding forests through their cosmovisions, traditional ancestral knowledge, and sustainable forest management practices. 🌳✨ This week, the Forest Stewardship Council (FSC) Permanent Indigenous Peoples Committee (PIPC) members, the FSC Indigenous Foundation Council members, and the Indigenous leaders from across the globe are in Bonn, Germany, for a dynamic knowledge exchange workshop supported by the FSC and FSC Indigenous Foundation. Together, we’re exploring how to amplify Indigenous voices within the FSC framework, deepen understanding of FSC’s vision, principles, and tools, and foster greater awareness of Indigenous perspectives on forest stewardship.
