It seems that my previous gratifying experiences with Courtyard --both the US and Europe-- were no indication of how this stay in Sacramento would be. Worst would have to be the surprise expense that there is a $20 charge for each day one stays here and uses the parking lot. Unpleasant would have to be that meals from the bar are indifferent, uninspired, awkward. (Why does personnel appear to be disgruntled?) Not great would be the oversized to the point of useless ”chair” furnishing the room. Hard pillows? But of course. This is a general complaint about all hotels these days: there is a pretense to being up to date, yet there were not enough electric outlets to charge the array of devices some of us have with us. Also, with luggage taking all surfaces, where is one to sit while doing anything? A positive was that the Amana heater functioned well. It was not loud as so many others are.
I loved this place! A real paddle wheel boat docked in Sacramento, a historic boat that used to travel every day between San Francisco and Sacramento. I was greeted by friendly hotel staff, had a cute small but very clean room. The pub/bar on the top level has great views, fun bartenders, and very good food. I slept soundly.
We booked with *******, expecting to pay when we arrive. We were contacted by the Inn immediately and had to send over consent forms to process our credit card a week before we arrive. The day we were going to check in we were contacted again and had to text over a photo, holding our driver’s license and another with our credit card. They said it was for there convenience as there is no one at the property after 3. I was driving on the I-5 at this moment, and had plans to arrive just after 3. We had to pull over to do what they asked. The Inn is lovely, the rooms are very nice, but the experience would have been much better if someone was on site. For the price, it would have been nice to have breakfast provided, not just 1 pod of coffee each. Also the room was very hot at night…. again if someone was at the property, we could have asked them to drop the heat. The area is very sketchy. Unfortunately lots of homeless and drug users. Luckily we spoke to someone living on the block. We were walking for dinner and they suggested that we do not walk back after dark. Info like this should have been told to us by someone when we checked in. Unfortunately the whole experience was not pleasant and they should either close because they are scared of Covid or open normally. Really not fair to guests like us.

訪訪客The hotel has a good review so we gave it a try even with the $11.50 parking fee per day. The room was comfortable and hotel clean/safe. But in both mornings we were there, the free breakfast is practically gone by 9am although they say it’s up to 10am. They don’t refill and the selection is very limited. They have excuses including supposedly a group of 60 kids who ate most of breakfast. What? So breakfast is a contest of who gets there first? I feel sorry for the folks who got there after us at 9:30 hoping to have their free breakfast. If they will be that stingy, don’t offer a free breakfast. For the price we paid, it really feels like we were treated unfairly. We should have gone for our go-to hotel chain that has a great free breakfast service.
The room was basic. There was some noise one could hear from other rooms. The breakfast choices were okay; however, it would be nice to replace the premade omelet with scrambled eggs. The motion sensing light in the bathroom (or light that didn't work and went on unexpectedly?) was annoying. There was a limited choice of nearby restaurants but more within driving distance. I would consider staying again.
Pretty nice place especially if you are staying more than one day. It has a full kitchen and all. It is a little different than the normal places I stay. This was more like an apartment complex than a hotel. It does have a bar and restaurant in the lobby of the complex. The food was ok, normal hotel food that the bartender throws in the microwave. I am not sure if the area this is in is the best. Driving around it had some rough areas. The property does have nighttime security. Good place, I would stay again.
Staff was so friendly ,I felt comfortable with them and they made me feel so welcome. The rooms were very clean and very nice, I would recommend anyone else to stay at this location and I shall return if needed. This was one of my best hotel experience in a long time. Thanks again.
