Our three night stay in Positano was beautiful with warm weather and great sightseeing. Hotel California is centrally located in Positano, about halfway up the mountain with a beautiful bay view balcony room. There is lots of walking and climbing steps in Positano, so be ready for that with comfortable shoes! Everything is in walking distance, you don't want or need a car in Positano. The room is clean, roomy and minimally decorated and furnished, but with a great firm bed. Housekeeping was spot on and kept everything nice and fresh. The breakfast buffet was nice, with eggs made to order and changed up a bit daily. The staff was friendly and helpful.

A small, lovely hotel. Staff was superb, all of them, but especially Bianca. Rooms were nice sized, best shower in the world, and OMG each room with a balcony and the most gorgeous view every morning and evening. Located near great restaurants and cafes.

Ci siamo trovati molto bene all'hotel California. L'ospitalità di John e di tutto lo staff è stata impeccabile. Abbiamo ricevuto da subito un'ottima accoglienza. Camera ampia e pulitissima, bagno con doccia enorme a tutta parete, con porta in cristallo e, per finire, un delizioso balconcino fronte mare dal quale godere del panorama spettacolare di Positano, che alla sera si accende di mille lucine scintillanti... un presepe! Colazione buona e personale gentile. Un grazie speciale ad Anna e Roberto per la disponibilità e l'assistenza.

Location is perfect, and everyone is incredibly friendly. Rooms are very nice, and the view from our room was probably one of the best in Positano. Anna and Gilberto are two of the best, and most kind people I’ve met in two weeks staying in Italy.
