Nice hotel conveniently located downtown, easy walking distance to restaurants and shopping. My main gripe is the poor housekeeping. I was there 6 days and requested daily service when I checked in. Some days the bed was made other days it was not. One day they would take all the used soap and not leave new soap. (I would have been ok using the old soap, but they took it). Some days they would empty the trash cans other days they would empty one and not touch the other. The carpet was never vacuumed the entire time I was there. (I left some small chips on the floor and they remained there the last 4 days of my stay). When I mentioned these items to the front desk, in person or by phone, they copped an attitude. Called the front desk to complain one afternoon that the room had not been serviced and they sent in 2 men who said they worked in maintenance and it was not their job to clean rooms. Asked the desk clerk if they had a laundry, they snapped back, ”no”. They could have told me that there was one 2 blocks down the road. Dealt with different desk clerks, and all seemed to have an attitude. When checking in, they failed to give me my welcome gifts even though I am a Hilton Honors Member. Went down to breakfast each morning, which was pretty good, but there was a constant flow of what appeared to be homeless people coming in and out the front door taking all the breakfast items they wanted. Most went in and out multiple times. The desk clerk was there and observed this, but said nothing. These were not clean people, touching all of the utensils and cooking equipment. I actually work with an organization that regularly feeds the homeless, so I understand their plight. But this is not what I was paying for at this property. A piece if trim had fallen off the wall prior to our arrival. (4th floor) It stayed there on the floor during my entire visit.
