Decent for a convenient inexpensive motel. Right across the street from restaurants and shopping and in walking distance to the gondola. The parking lot is really cramped, so parking and getting out can be a little tricky. The room was smaller than some of the other places we’ve stayed. It was nice having a mini fridge (although it didn’t have a freezer) and microwave (although small and old). There was no coffee maker in the room but Starbucks is across the street. The bed and pillows were fine. Shower, heat, wifi all worked fine. Nothing that sets is apart (bad or good).
We stayed at the Americana Village during September and were booked in for one night. Check in was swift and we were informed where our room was. We were quite surprised at the room, it was very comfortable and would have been nice to stay longer. Unfortunately we were on a tight schedule where accommodation was already booked for our tour of Northern California and Oregon. The room was well equipped with a tv in the lounge and also one in the bedroom area. It also had a kitchen and a good sized bathroom. There were several restaurants close by and also bars. A small breakfast was provided too.
PP KThis was a strange experience for one of the two days we stayed here. We were in the 300 building, and our room's floor, our furniture, the bed and a fair expanse of the walkway outside our room (which was on the 3rd level) were all vibrating for hours during the day and into the evenings. It took a while to find out that the commercial laundry for the hotel (where the sheets and towels, etc. are washed) was on the first level of this building, and they were using the largest washers and dryers I have ever seen, causing really noticable shaking even on the 3rd level. One of the maintennce guys said they stop doing the laundry at 9 p.m. They did not, so we went to the front desk and asked to be moved, which they did for us the next day. The second room was in a different building, and nothing was shaking. It was actually a much bigger and nicer room, too. My advice is to avoid the 300 building altogether. Other than that, the staff were polite and breakfast was fine.
SShylee HI just want to warn anyone that is thinking of staying here because it is a serious health hazard. Me and my boyfriend stayed here in September of this year from the 5th-8th and on our last day while taking a shower we noticed that there was A LOT of mold in the window seal of the shower. Upon seeing that we freaked out and grabbed our stuff to get out as fast as possible because we had already starting feeling sick but just chalked it up to being on vacation. After leaving we were extremely ill for two weeks straight after coming home. I couldn’t even get out of bed and when I tried to talk to the hotel staff they were anything but helpful. I was told that a supervisor was not there and that they will call me when they return and I never received a phone call. After calling them multiple times trying to reach them I had to file a claim with my bank which ended up getting denied because this hotel is greedy and money hungry and does not care about the health and safety of their guest. I am extremely disappointed in their lack of effort and empathy. I wouldn’t recommend this hotel to my worst enemy.
BBrittney CAside from the bedding being dirty with spots and hair on them when we arrived, which they at first declined even changing. The room flooded up from the shower along with several other rooms on the floor and the ownership refused to even partially refund our stay. No fault on our part- they acknowledged they knew of the flooding issue and put us in the room anyway. Our items we brought with were ruined and our trip was so stressful. Absolutely unacceptable. I understand disasters happen. Plumbing failures happen. But we should not have been charged as we were chased out due to flood and incurred personal damages.
