12.7 Qingxi Country Park Review: My Honest Thoughts

Parking costs CNY 15 per time for vehicles with 7 seats or less, and CNY 30 per time for vehicles with more than 7 seats. ⏰️Recommended visit time: 1 day Qingxi Country Park is located in Qingpu, and is the only country park in Shanghai with a wetland theme. The main attraction this season is the water forest. The water forest is a must-see attraction located in the conservation area. Tall metasequoia trees grow in the water, and various birds build their nests in the trees. The forest is filled with the sound of birdsong. Visitors can view the water forest from the boardwalk. In autumn, the metasequoia leaves turn golden yellow, like a watercolor painting. Whether you take horizontal, vertical, or aerial photos, you can capture the beauty of the water forest. My honest thoughts: ① We parked our car in P3, and chose to walk to the water forest, which was about 4 km away. It was quite tiring. I recommend taking the shuttle bus or parking closer to the attraction. ② The metasequoia trees on the outer edge of the forest are not very red, but the trees along the boardwalk are very red and beautiful. It was cloudy, so the photos didn't turn out very well. I recommend visiting on a sunny day. ③ There is not much to do in Qingxi Country Park in winter, except for the water forest. Camping and pitching tents are not allowed in the conservation area, so you can just visit the water forest and leave. If you live far away, think twice before visiting. ❗❗Tips ❗❗There is a small road between the P3 and P4 parking lots that leads to a parking area close to the country park. ❗❗If you park in the parking lot, you can take the shuttle bus to the entrance of the conservation area. Tickets cost CNY 10 per person, and children under 1.3 m can ride for free. ❗❗Don't trust local villagers who offer to help you park. They will ask you to pay CNY 30, and then take you to a free parking area. ❗❗Qingxi Country Park is not as popular this year, so there are not many people on weekends. You can take the shuttle bus after waiting for about ten minutes. ❗❗The conservation area has just opened, but there is still some construction work going on, so the experience is not very good.
