During my recent trip to Sha Tau Kok Pier, I had the incredible opportunity to experience the mesmerizing art installation "Interwoven Horizon" by the multi-disciplinary artist En Iwamura from Japan. This captivating creation beautifully intertwines the elements of the sea, mountains, geology, islands, sun, and moon, creating a harmonious fusion of art and nature. As the installation leisurely floats in the sea near the pier, it serves as a visual symphony against the backdrop of the breathtaking natural landscape. En Iwamura's work is a testament to his deep connection with nature, drawing inspiration from the surroundings to highlight the intricate details of the landscape and geological formations near Sha Tau Kok. The interplay of natural colors in his art adds a touch of magic to the already stunning scenery. Exploring "Interwoven Horizon" was a truly immersive experience that allowed me to appreciate the beauty of the environment in a new light, merging artistic expression with the wonders of nature. We stayed in a "Hollywood Twin/Corner Room" this time. The room has a spacious feel with large windows in the bedroom and bathroom.
The package included a 20,000 yen credit, so I enjoyed a room service dinner🍽️
They set a beautiful table by the window and even took our picture.
We ordered sparkling wine, steak, pasta, and beef bowl. Everything tasted delicious and freshly prepared, just like in a restaurant🥂
Breakfast the next morning was also delicious and made for a great stay. We definitely want to return to this hotel!

We stayed at the "Ocean Front Twin (sunset side, non-smoking).
The view differs depending on the room type, but we chose the sunset side because we wanted to enjoy the sunset. However, it was snowing all the time, so we couldn't see it at all. However, the snowy view, typical of Hokkaido, was wonderful and impressive!❄️
The hotel was somewhat nostalgic and made me feel like I was back in time. I would recommend this hotel to anyone who wants to experience something out of the ordinary.

I chose AX The Palace because I wanted a balcony and the location and price were well balanced in the Sliema area, which is convenient for sightseeing.
From the large balcony, you can see the church right in front of you and enjoy the extraordinary feeling.
The weather was not good and it was cold, so we rarely spent time on the balcony in the end, but in spring and fall, it looks like a good place to have dinner and tea.
I was quite satisfied with the spacious room for the price!

This café is located in Minami-Aoyama and offers fine sweets and light meals. It is so popular with tourists that there is a long waiting list on weekends.
Among the many cafe-only menu items, I ordered the popular pancake set.
I was enchanted by the smooth browned pancakes!
The pancakes are so thick yet fluffy.
They are the most delicious, with a mildly sweet, gentle, and comforting flavor.
We didn't have to wait long to get in around 1:00 p.m. on a weekday.
The terrace surrounded by greenery is heated and highly recommended.

It offers a breakfast menu including toast and paninis with drinks from open until 11:00.
I ordered the buttered toast set (1,500 yen). Drinks are available for an additional 300 yen.
The buttered toast is filled with long, thin shavings of butter, and the appearance of the toast is very uplifting.
The topping of choice is honey. Needless to say, it goes great with the salty butter! The bread is also crispy and really delicious❤️
