A Glimpse of Da Nang Life
#magicalxmastrip
Never thought I would spend most of my time in Vietnam here in Da Nang. Da Nang’s riverside is where I truly got a taste of the city’s soul. Walking along the Han River, I watched the locals jogging and enjoying the sunset by the water. The atmosphere felt laid-back, yet there was so much energy from the street vendors selling fresh fruits and local snacks. Sitting at the corner of coffee shop while watched the world go by. It felt like a beautiful blend of tradition and modernity.
Something you least expected, may become something the most memorable for your trip.

My favorite breakfast place in Da Nang
Salad Club is a wonderful place for breakfast! It's all healthy and they have meat and fish options, as well as vegetarian.
The portions are huge. The variety is great. And it's really all that my body needs in the beginning of the day.
The staff is friendly and speak some English. The service is pretty fast.
The place is very chilled and not loud, and just a perfect start of the day.

My fave salt coffee in Danang
2 Ladies Kitchen is a lovely space with outdoor and indoor area. They make my favorite Vietnamese salt coffee here! It is an absolute must try while in Da Nang.
It is a lovely and quiet restaurant, with many people working inside. Many of the stuff here are deaf mute, so they bring you little notepad to write down your order. The stuff is very friendly.
Bahn mi is another specialty of this place and they got quite a few options both with meat and vegetarian.

Lovely coffee shop with delicious smoothie bowls
Create Danang Art Space is a lovely coffee shop conveniently located in My An district on a quiet street. They have some really nice coffee options and smoothie bowls.
The ambience is very relaxed, low-key music, a few people working, big comfy tables in case you wanna come with your laptop.
Stuff is very friendly and speaks sufficiently good English.
Overall I didn't enjoy my time there, nice place to get a quick healthy bite.

Upscale Japanese restaurant in My An
MARUTEN SUSHI-SOBA in Da Nang city is an upscale sushi restaurant conveniently located in My An district nearby the beach.
The ambience of the place is very nice, and very relaxed.
The stuff is very friendly and helping. They do speak a decent level of English.
The food was all right. I surely prefer sashimi and Nigiri over their rolls.
White wine scaled the lowest amount of points comparing to all the things that I tried there.
Overall it is a nice place for a date, to stay for a long slow dinner.

Fog, fun, all the time WOW face ; Golden Bridge at Bana Hills
Bana Hills was a trip highlight! The 15°C weather was perfect. The cable car runs from 7:30 AM to 6 PM, but I went around 11:30 AM and it was foggy at the Golden Bridge. Booking online is a must, and don’t miss the buffet lunch—Indian or Western options available until 3 PM. Plenty of nearby hotels, including Mercure, and some charming local spots. The place had a European vibe with unique spots, and performances every 30 minutes—especially loved the puppet dance!
Bonus: Free rides at Fantasy Park too.

Amazing vintage gift shop in Da Nang
Nhím Retro is a great find as a gift shop for those who loves vintage things. This place is filled with all sort of jewelry, accessories, and clothing. It's mostly for ladies though.
The owner is a super nice lady, who is ready to show and explain everything.
The place is conveniently located in My An district of Danang city.
Amazing choice of items, really worth checking out!

Lovely spa in My An
Rose spa is a lovely quiet place to get a massage and relax. It is conveniently located My An district of Danang city.
The place is very quiet and tranquil, the stuff is very friendly. They don't speak much English, but it was enough to communicate.
The lady that gave me massage had super strong arms, so it was a perfect deep tissue massage. There are more options like relaxing or aromatherapy, and more.
They greeted me with a bath and with floral petals for my feet, and some sort of fruity drink.
And after massage, before they let me go - they gave me another drink and a sliced mango.
Overall it was a super relaxing experience, and it is truly worth checking out especially if you're staying in My An district.

Best Danang's all you can eat buffet
Alibaba Buffet Nuong is the best all you can eat seafood local Korean style buffet that I have found so far in Da Nang.
Just for a 200k dong (220k on the weekends) we got access to oysters, different mollusks, a few types of shrimp, crab, calamari, octopus, fish, salads, fruits... the list goes on and on! They have a good selection of meats as well but I haven't tried those.
The variety is great and seafood was super fresh.
Stuff helped us cooking, two options were available: hot pot and Korean BBQ grill. They open oysters in the craziest way I have seen: with a pair of scissors!!!
We have spent solid 3.5 hours there eating and drinking with my friends, a wonderful place for a long slow dinner!
Note: drinks are sold separately.

Most epic sunsets in Danang
Spending time at My Khe beach is a great idea any time of the day (and night).
The beach is so chilled and tranquil, it is much less touristy than up north of Danang. People playing volleyball, and frisbee. Some people are meditating or running. I personally love long walks down south. The beach is endless, so my walks are really limited only by the amount of spare time I have.
The sunset are stunning, and often very colorful. My Khe is an absolute must while in Danang.

Absolutely scenic road nearby Danang
Some days I just wanna escape the crowd and be truly alone with the nature. And so I found this wonderful option for half day trip from Danang to enjoy the very best views.
The road up north from Danang along the coast is just epic! There are numerous viewpoints, waterfalls, historic landmarks.
In about an hour drive you can reach Don Ca Arch Bridge - railway bridge That looks just awesome from below. It is a little bit tricky to get down, but it's totally worth it.
There is a river under the bridge, the place is cool and tranquil. Super stunning nature, never crowded. Perfect for a picnic and a swim.
Tip: make sure to get back on the highway before darkness.
One more tip: bring your water and snacks with you.

Sipping Elegance: Discovering Da Nang’s Moroccan Gem
#favouritecafe #danang #vietnam #hiddengem #vietnamcoffee #cafehoping
Nestled in the vibrant streets of Da Nang, Cửa Ngõ Cafe feels like stepping into a Moroccan-inspired sanctuary. The moment you walk in, you’re greeted by a symphony of warm, earthy tones, intricately patterned tiles, and a design that effortlessly marries elegance with coziness.
The staff here radiate friendliness, adding to the charm of the place. Their genuine smiles and attentive service make you feel like a welcome guest rather than just another customer.
But the true star? Their coconut coffee—an irresistible blend of rich, creamy coconut and bold Vietnamese coffee. It’s a tropical symphony for your taste buds, striking the perfect balance between refreshment and indulgence. And while you linger over your drink, they thoughtfully provide free plain water, a small but appreciated touch that shows their commitment to hospitality.
Cửa Ngõ Cafe isn’t just a place to grab a coffee—it’s an experience, a little slice of calm amidst the bustling city. Whether you’re here to savor a moment of solitude or catch up with friends, this is a cafe you’ll find yourself longing to return to.
Good soup in My An when you're lazy to get fancy
I love local tiny spots that cater just a few options and rarely see any tourists. I found this place in My An, Danang - thanks to my local friend.
Đặc Sản Mì Quảng has just a few options, but then has something for everyone - soup with meat, shrimp, fish, eggs. The place is very local and very quiet. And the food is very delicious!
This is my favorite place in Danang for when I don't feel like going out and just want to grab something delicious and quick.

My favorite bakery in Danang!
Bakeries and sweets are difficult things in Asia. Unfortunately, in Asian countries, cakes and pastries often looks so good like really really good but at the same time they taste like nothing.
That's why I was extremely happy to stumble upon Bread & Butter Bakery in Da Nang, Vietnam. Same as everywhere in Asia their pastries look real nice but a pleasant surprise was that they also taste nice! They were not too sweet, they don't taste like paper, they not mushy, they are just pretty damn good!
Coffee is average, nothing groundbreaking here, but my cappuccino went nicely to help wash down the absolutely delicious pistachio roll.
The space itself is very nice, the staff is friendly, some tables are sort of lounge area with comfy sofa-like seats.

A Must-Visit: My Khe Beach in Da Nang with Clear Waters and White Sands!
Visiting the beach in Da Nang is an unforgettable experience! 🌊🏖️ Here, you'll find beautiful beaches with clear waters, perfect for relaxation ☀️✨
Start your day with a stroll along My Khe Beach. Upon arrival, you'll be greeted by the refreshing sea breeze 🏄♀️💨. Or simply sit by the beach and enjoy reading a book 📚🌴.
Another highlight is watching the Dragon Bridge in the evening 🐉🔥. On Saturdays and Sundays around 9:00 PM, the dragon breathes fire, making for an impressive show! If you have time, try the fresh seafood at the nearby market 🍤🦐.
My Khe Beach also has many delicious restaurants where you can enjoy the sea breeze while watching the sunset. If you're looking for a beach destination, Da Nang is a trip you shouldn't miss.
เส้นทางชมวิว: Scenic Route A unique experience in Danang
Show of Fire and Water at Dragon Bridge - is a cute thing to do while in Danang.
Dragon bridge is decorated in the shape of... a dragon. And every weekend there's a show when dragon spits fire and afterwards water.
First will be fire, then water. Many people splash happily, however, if you're not planning on getting wet, then don't stay too close to the dragon's head and check out where the wind blows.
The show last for 10 minutes and they stop the traffic at the bridge. Locals come on scooters and just park them along sidewalks on the bridge.
The best place to watch it is actually at the bridge, close to the dragon's head, not a boat, not a park nearby, not an embankment.

True local experience at local sushi place in Danang
Xuyên Sushi - Đà Nẵng is located nearby Dragon bridge what makes it a great choice if you wanna go check out the show of fire and water afterwards.
My waitress did not speak a word in English and that made experience more authentic. Though, the menu has an English translation and, well, that made the experience more comfortable that
The menu is very impressive, I don't even know how many pages it has Mostly it's combos, and they're pretty huge so don't come alone.
The food is good. The service is fast. The stuff is very friendly. I stayed there for a couple of hours and I was the only foreigner.

A must in Danang: stroll along Han river embankment
Two best night long walks in Danang are along the beach, and along Han river embankment.
I do prefer along the river cause it is more lit and so much local life is going along it!
Restaurants, karaoke, people jogging, kids playing, whole families sit by the riverside.
Skyscrapers and bridges are brightly illuminated... what a beautiful view!
It really doesn't matter what part of embankment you'll be walking - the vibe may change but still it is so cool all the way!
Bridges are all different and very instagramable.
Tip: choose shoes properly. The path isn't good everywhere, so spare yourself from high heels or anything else uncomfortable.

Living good on a budget
Stayed in Da Nang for over two weeks as I fell in love with the city and work remotely. Super affordable to stay here as a digital normal. The beach is stunning, especially at sunset and you can rent a lounger for the day for 40 VND per day. Highly recommend checking out the amazing coffee and food (both Vietnamese and otherwise) that the city has to offer! #saltedcoffee #digitalnomad #danang #healthyfood #vietnam #
Lady Buddha: Da Nang’s Towering Symbol of Peace and Serenity
Standing majestically on the Sơn Trà Peninsula, the Lady Buddha statue in Da Nang is an awe-inspiring sight that draws visitors from around the world. At 67 meters tall, this towering figure is the tallest Buddha statue in Vietnam and offers a sense of calm and tranquility to those who visit. 🇻🇳 Banahills beer factory
#oktoberfest #100WaysOfTravel
When you read about Bana Hills, you will seldom come across the Bana Hills Beer Factory. This is a huge plaza with large beer barrels and they even have a beer tour for all interested guests. You only can take the cable car to reach the Beer Plaza area and it is free entry to all guests. Over here, you learn how beer is being made using the various ingredients and the guide here speak English. The best time to come to Beer Plaza is from April to August which is their summer season to enjoy food and beer festival. I was there in September and this period from September to October is their Autumn festive and also Oktoberfest with a great selection of German beer.

#oktoberfest #100WaysOfTravel
You can buy beer coupons and join in the fun to taste all the beers at Bana Hills Beer Plaza. It is Oktoberfest every day here because of its uniqueness in this European village. It is a theme park in Da Nang up in the mountains and you can only come here by cable car. They have different seasonal activities here and it is a permanent restaurant serving food and beer here at Bana Hills. During Oktoberfest, you can see more tables are setup in the outdoor and even concert stages too. It is a exact replication of the festival and many grilled meat and German pork knuckles are being served too. Over here they even have a Kellner mascot dressed up in pig costume. These are the German beer ladies who are capable to carry many beer at one time.

🇻🇳 Sunset on Hoi An River
#bestsunset #100WaysOfTravel
It is an awesome boat ride from the Lantern Park at Hoi An Old Market towards Hoi A Memories Land. The meeting time was 5.30pm and the sunset timing in September is abut 5.40pm which is much earlier than our Singapore timing. As the sun set earlier in Hoi An, the lights also switch on early and the entire park is illuminated. But as you sail on the boat, you still can see the sun is setting and it sets quite fast too. There are also man floating lanterns and the sunset also cast its reflections onto the river, creating a lovely vibe to sail down the river in Hoi An.

🇻🇳 Han River Skyline
#cityscape #100WaysOfTravel
The cityscape at Dragon bridge is amazing and it has been planned intentionally on this 666 meters bridge. It has a total of 6 traffic lanes and pedestrian walkway across the Han river. It offers beautiful cityscape and sunsets on this distinctive bridge which symbolise Da Nang city. It is also the longest suspension bridge. Every part of this city has been planned out and the skyline view boost the tourism sector. The urban and planning design has regulated this and the height of tall buildings are controlled. Thanks to all these then we can enjoy a beautiful view.
