We continue to celebrate and remember at least some of the influential Croatian women who have given us a sense of pride and whose names we proudly mention even today, especially in the month when we celebrate International Women’s Day. Milka Trnina (1863.-1941.) was a pioneer of opera in Croatia and one of the most renowned opera singers worldwide. At the age of just thirteen, she had her first performance at the Croatian National Theatre. An interesting story is the name of Milka chocolates!
