About us
InnovaMare project will jointly develop and establish an innovation ecosystem model in the area of underwater robotics and sensors for purposes of monitoring and surveillance sector with a mission-oriented on the sustainability of the Adriatic Sea. The main purpose of InnovaMare the project is to bring cross-border collaboration between science and private sector on a higher level and to facilitate the involvement of SMEs in international networks for research as a way of adding value to SMEs in area of internationalization and technology transfer having in mind all inputs from all stakeholders involved within the project. The main legacy after the implementation of a project InnovaMare will be MAiROS - the main platform for the development of solutions for monitoring and prediction of pollution of the Adriatic Sea. MAiROS will be ready to connect to the Pan-European network of Digital Innovation Hubs (DIHs) and in this way bring opportunities for connection on the European level for all involved stakeholders from the cross-border level. It will be the central place for networking and exchange of experiences and knowledge from all relevant stakeholders.

🦾 Marine Technologies and Implementation for a Sustainable Blue Economy 🌊 The Conference on marine technologies and their implementation welcomed around 100 participants in Padova, including researchers, industry experts, and young innovators. 🤝 Held on November 13th, the conference brought together key stakeholders to explore the role of marine technology in fostering a sustainable blue economy. During the conference, participants engaged in: ➡️ Panel on marine technology applications: Experts from across Europe, including Norway, Portugal, Italy, and Croatia, shared insights on advancing marine technologies through testing sites. The panel focused on challenges and solutions for scaling technologies, covering topics like autonomous marine technology, regulatory barriers, and collaborative models that support innovation. ➡️ Funding and innovation: another panel explored funding opportunities for research and innovation in the blue economy. Speakers from the European Investment Bank, PricewaterhouseCoopers, and other organizations provided guidance on navigating EU funding options, highlighting the increasing importance of sustainability in attracting investment. ➡️ Entrepreneurship in the Blue Economy: a roundtable discussion focused on market opportunities for researchers, particularly through spin-offs and startups. Young entrepreneurs and researchers from Croatia and Italy shared their journeys, emphasizing how partnerships between academia and industry can drive innovation in the blue economy. 📈 Outcomes: • an updated "Map of Excellence" highlighting key players and technologies for sustainable transformation, • new collaborative initiatives planned among universities, industry clusters, and regional organizations, • strengthened connections between researchers and companies, paving the way for future projects aimed at a greener, tech-driven blue economy.
