🏗️ Progress in sustainable construction! As part of the Circuit Project, partners Infra Plan consulting, Beton-Lučko d.o.o., and ZAG - Zavod za gradbeništvo Slovenije are working on developing 𝗽𝗿𝗲𝗳𝗮𝗯𝗿𝗶𝗰𝗮𝘁𝗲𝗱 𝗰𝗼𝗻𝗰𝗿𝗲𝘁𝗲 𝘀𝗹𝗮𝗯𝘀 for a new bridge 🌉. These slabs incorporate 𝘄𝗮𝘀𝘁𝗲 𝗯𝗶𝗼 𝗮𝘀𝗵 and 𝗿𝗲𝗰𝘆𝗰𝗹𝗲𝗱 𝗺𝗮𝘁𝗲𝗿𝗶𝗮𝗹𝘀, contributing to innovation in circular construction. ♻️ By integrating 𝗰𝗼𝗻𝘀𝘁𝗿𝘂𝗰𝘁𝗶𝗼𝗻 𝗮𝗻𝗱 𝗱𝗲𝗺𝗼𝗹𝗶𝘁𝗶𝗼𝗻 𝘄𝗮𝘀𝘁𝗲 (#CDW) into the concrete production process, the project reduces reliance on virgin materials, helping to combat natural resource depletion and lower embedded energy consumption ⚡. The results? ✈️ Last week, the Steering Committee meeting of the OLGA Project (hOListic & Green Airports) was held at Paris Aéroport - Charles de Gaulle (CDG), organized by Groupe ADP and coordinated by Virginie Pasquier and Yannael Billard. The OLGA project focuses on reducing the environmental impact of ✈️ aviation through sustainable measures that ⬇️ lower emissions, ⚡ improve energy efficiency, air quality, 🌱 biodiversity, and waste management. These innovations support the European Union’s carbon neutrality goals and enhance the quality of life. The project involves 57 partners, including airports, airlines, industry, authorities, researchers, and innovative companies. Key airports participating are #ParisCharlesdeGaulle, #MilanMalpensa, #ZagrebMZLZ, and #CLUJ, alongside local stakeholders. 🌊 In the first half of November, CLARION Project held its General Assembly in 📍Athens, GR. As part of the meeting, Infra Plan consulting held a workshop with ⚓ ports involved in the project: #PortOfRotterdam, #PortOfHamburg, #PortOfAntwerpBruges, and #PortOfConstanta. The focus was on mapping risks and hazards specific to each port, providing a foundation for defining strategies, governance models, procedures, and methodologies essential for implementing CLARION innovations. 💡 The CLARION project, funded under the #HorizonEurope, unites a multidisciplinary team of 21 partners from 11 EU countries. In collaboration with major EU ports, CLARION aims to develop innovative solutions with the potential to expand and benefit many more ports across the world 🌐 . Aligned with the EU Strategy on Adaptation to #ClimateChange and the #EUGreenDeal, the project focuses on fostering climate-resilient infrastructure, a vital step toward achieving climate neutrality by 2050 and contributing to a sustainable future for Europe. On November 19th and 20th, Infra Plan Sandra Škarić Palić and Daniel Rodik participated in the BEEYONDERS project meeting at the Holcim Innovation Hub near 📍Lyon. Autonomous loaders, exoskeletons, 3D printed concrete, UAV and DT for monitoring the building process, construction or maintenance of road infrastructure are being developed in the project with the aim of reducing the carbon footprint, increasing efficiency and reducing total costs in the whole life cycle compared to conventional methods. Infra Plan presented the progress in the field of environmental, economic and technical impact assessment of innovative technologies in the construction sector. Beside being more efficient and cleaner in whole life cycle, BEEYONDERS technologies should have a positive social impact too - a safer environment for workers and more inclusivity toward female workers.
