Excited to share highlights from the recent expert visit of Dr. Fehmi Ben Abdesslem to the University of Zagreb / Sveučilište u Zagrebu - FER as part of our AIoTwin activities! His visit from November 12th to November 14th, 2024, further strengthened collaboration and knowledge sharing within the AIoTwin project. Dr. Ben Abdesslem delivered a public talk titled Battery-Free IoT on November 12th at FER, hosted by the Croatian Section of IEEE. The talk was attended by members of our IoTLab involved in the AIoTwin project and sparked engaging discussions on the potential of energy-harvesting systems for sustainable IoT solutions. In the following days, Dr. Ben Abdesslem led two interactive sessions tailored for IoTLab members and streamed online to the rest of the AIoTwin consortium. The first session, Lecture on WebAssembly for IoT, focused on the fundamentals of WebAssembly and its applications in IoT, while the second, Hands-On Practice of WebAssembly for IoT, provided participants with practical experience in developing WebAssembly modules for IoT devices. We thank Dr. Ben Abdesslem for his valuable contributions and look forward to further collaboration! 🎉 More information about the visit can be found here: https://lnkd.in/ddUh5E5X #AIoTwin #expertVisit #internetofthings #batteryfree #webassembly

As 2024 approaches its end, we look back at the successful third short-term staff exchange in the #AIoTwin project! 🌍 From April 10 to May 9, Ivan Kralj collaborated with RISE researchers Lodovico Giaretta and Sarunas Girdzijauskas at the RISE Research Institutes of Sweden. Together, they tackled cutting-edge challenges in decentralized machine learning and Spatio-Temporal Graph Neural Networks (ST-GNNs). This collaboration continues to thrive, driving forward advancements in distributed ST-GNN training. The team’s work will be shared in upcoming conference presentations and journal publications, further strengthening the partnership between FER and RISE. A short look into Ivan’s stay in Stockholm is available in the video below. 📹✨ #HorizonEU #innovation #OpenScience #research #AIoTwin European Research Executive Agency (REA)

Dođite i saznajte više o našim istraživanjima i tehnologijama! University of Zagreb / Sveučilište u Zagrebu
