UNICEF Representative in Haiti, Geeta Narayan, visited a site hosting people who fled the recent escalation of armed violence in Port-au-Prince to express her support for the children and families affected by this crisis. UNICEF, in partnership with MDM Argentina, has deployed a mobile clinic and continues to provide clean water, protection services, and psychosocial support to safeguard the health and well-being of vulnerable children. #HaitiCrisis #Haiti #UNICEF

UNICEF estimates that the number of children recruited by armed groups in Haiti has increased by 70% in the last year. This alarming rise is fueled by escalating violence, widespread poverty, lack of access to education, and the near collapse of essential infrastructure and social services. Many children are coerced into joining armed groups to support their families or under threats to their safety. Read the full press release: https://lnkd.in/drgfbcFZ 👇

#CDE35 #PourChaqueEnfant / #Droits / #JourneeMondialedelEnfance
