It was our pleasure hosting the Magyar Versenyjogi Egyesület (Hungarian Association of Competition Law) Nex Gen table talk in the Szecskay office. Gusztav Bacher, Aniko Keller, Sam MacMahon Baldwin, Benedek Attila Ádám and Viktor Halupka enjoyed getting to know and presenting to the Nex Gen members. The competition law quiz (and of course prizes for the winners) were surely the highlight of the entertaining evening. https://lnkd.in/dBe7mza6
On behalf of the youth group of the Hungarian Association of Competition Law, we would like to thank our sponsors for their support throughout the year. We would also like to thank Zoltan Barakonyi for initiating the nexgen and the Table Talk series in February. To close this year, we held our VII. Table Talk year-end youth event at the Szecskay Attorneys at Law with presentations by Gusztav Bacher, Aniko Keller and Sam MacMahon Baldwin co-organised by next-gen member Benedek Attila Ádám. Special thanks to Annegret Munitzk for the beautiful photos (which you can see on our website), and I believe I can say on behalf of everyone that we had fantastic experiences. The presenters and the young people put together a special year-end quiz for us, during which we laughed a lot. The game took us back to our childhood when Santa Claus still brought toys and reminded us that we should never stop playing, as joy and relaxation are needed by everyone, especially amidst the year-end work burdens. The whole event was filled with cheerfulness and excitement, where the well-known competitive spirit, which perhaps lies within every lawyer, occasionally surfaced, but we don't always have the opportunity to show it. We learned about the operation of the Szecskay Law Firm, and thanks to Gusztáv Bacher, we gained insight into the development of competition law over the past 100 years, which was extremely interesting. We hope to hear more about him in the future. We are already looking forward to the next meeting, but in the meantime, we wish all our fellow members, our President, Board Members, and everyone who reads us a Merry Christmas and Happy Holidays with these pictures on our website. See you next year! 💫
