On January 15, our Healthcare Committee welcomed Dr. Gyorgy Velkey, President of the Hungarian Hospital Association, and Dr. Ficzere Andrea, Vice President of the Hungarian Hospital Association. The discussions centered around the current topics regarding the Hungarian healthcare ecosystem. The session included a lively Q&A, providing valuable insights and fostering meaningful dialogue. Remembering Dr. Charles Huebner It is with great sadness that we announce the passing of Dr. Charles Huebner, former President of AmCham Hungary (1997–1999), who left us on December 29 at the age of 90. Dr. Huebner came to Hungary in 1990 to establish the Hungarian American Enterprise Fund in Budapest as its Executive Vice President and Managing Director. As AmCham President, he became a pillar of our community and a tireless advocate for strengthening Hungarian-American business relations. His exemplary contributions were recognized in 2012 with the Völgyes-Iván Award. Dr. Huebner’s vision, leadership, and unwavering dedication leave a lasting legacy for our business community.
