BME U(S)3 The Center for University-Industry Cooperation, also known as the BME (Budapest University of Technology and Economics) FIEK organization provides expanded services under a new name. Under the new name, the management of our university's innovation activities was given priority. Recognizing the current and future importance of innovation processes (such as industrial rights protection services, startup incubation, business development, technology transfer, and spinoff establishment), a single, consolidated department within the organization, called BME U[S]3, is now dealing with those issues. The U[S]3 - is referring to spinoff companies based on research results, to startup development based on student or teacher ideas, and to the studio model, i.e., a methodology that builds entrepreneurial teams with an ownership perspective – is more complex, more efficient than before, preparing for the actual market operation. Moreover, it foresees an activity that meaningfully participates in entering the market and operating in global markets. The BME University Spinoff Startup Studio is offering its services to all entrepreneurial-minded initiatives, that seek to launch in and around BME.
