Narrative Spaces – Online Course on New Directions in Exhibition Design This spring, we’re offering an online course focusing on New Directions in Social Participation and Interactive Learning in Exhibition Design. The program explores the latest trends, including the VARK model, gamification, and visual storytelling, while addressing key topics such as sustainability, digitalization, and interactive learning. The course provides insights into designing impactful and meaningful visitor experiences and examines what truly matters for public spaces, exhibitions, and their audiences. Whether you’re interested in the design process or seeking ways to apply your expertise to enhance public engagement, this course offers valuable knowledge and inspiration. The Light Art Museum's PHANTOM VISION – Undercurrents of Perception exhibition explores the deeper layers of light and perception. The visual identity abstractly represents the connection between light and reality, while the striking yellow hues in urban communication evoke the illusion of light. Over 35 Hungarian and international artists, including stars such as Ólafur Elíasson, Brian Eno, Carsten Nicolai, and László Moholy-Nagy, present interactive installations, AI-visualized dreams, representations of brainwave patterns, the hidden communication networks of nature, as well as light and sound works that challenge the boundaries of reality perception, offering visitors new perspectives. Gyula Ernyey is an Interior Designer, Industrial Designer, Design Historian, Professor Emeritus at the Moholy-Nagy University of Art and Design, Doctor of the Hungarian Academy of Sciences. Since 1967, he has been a lecturer at the Moholy-Nagy University of Art and Design and served as Deputy Director General of the General Collection at the Museum of Applied Arts between 1975 and 1988. From 1988 to 1992, he was a scientific advisor at the Rubik Studio, and from 1992 to 1993, he worked at the Industrial Design and Ergonomics Council Office of the National Committee for Technological Development (OMFB). Between 1993 and 2010, he held positions as an institute director and department head at the Moholy-Nagy University of Art and Design. He is an internationally recognized researcher in design history; alongside his teaching, he also works as a designer and exhibition curator and is an active participant in the professional design community. Ten years ago, we founded @de-form. In the first six years, the two of us worked together, traveling the world with both Hungarian and international projects. Since 2020, more and more talented young designers have joined us. Some collaborations lasted longer, some shorter, but we were always proud of our team’s work. Over the years, we have also mentored many students and young professionals. Now, as we reach our tenth anniversary, we would like to thank everyone who has ever been a part of our team, or worked with us as a partner or client. We hope you’ll stay with us for the next ten years as well! To mark this occasion, over the next 10 days, we will showcase our favorite projects and works from the past decade. The 28th International Book Festival Budapest, held from 28 September to 1 October, features the Netherlands as this year’s Guest of Honour, which we had the privilege of designing in the previous year. Cultural ties between the Netherlands and Hungary date back to the 16th century, with a long history of literary cooperation. The number of Dutch books translated into Hungarian and vice versa is remarkable, inspiring the festival’s theme: “On the Sea of Books.” The pavilion’s design centered around a paper boat, symbolizing literary exchange. Together with ATELIER DE_VISION We have a new project on Behance https://lnkd.in/d4FjJUVw The GiLE Foundation supports young individuals aged 18-35 in their personal and professional development through skill-building, mentorship, and research, focusing on changemakers and aspiring diplomats. The Changemaker Youth Forum empowers youth to address social and environmental issues. To craft a distinctive identity for the forum, we developed a modular installation system. Sustainability was a priority, so we chose 100% recycled cardboard for the structure, ensuring both environmental responsibility and visual impact. Project proposal for the international open call of Carlo Ratti, curator of the 19th Venice Architecture Biennale. We propose creating a comprehensive database to serve as a collaborative platform. Contributors could publish their ideas and gather previous non-winning Biennale proposals from various countries. These proposals, rich in insights, would be organized into a searchable database categorized by thematic units. To enhance its effectiveness, the database would feature an intelligent search with AI modules to seamlessly link related projects and concepts. This would streamline the search process and foster connections between ideas and proposals. The curator could select thematic categories aligned with this year’s Biennale themes, and we could create data visualizations from the database.
