Finished up a project in Richmond this morning where we have used both Dogs and Geophysical Survey Systems, Inc. (GSSI) GPR, with Emlid RTK-GPS.

During a routine drone flight for the LTA Cross Island Project, I came across a group conducting a topographic survey on SLA land. To my surprise, it was my good friend Boon Hwee from SJ Group’s survey department We took a moment to reminisce about a project we worked on together more than seven years ago at Rifle Range Park. Back then, we were combining drone photogrammetry with 3D terrestrial scanning to create detailed 3D models—a cutting-edge approach at the time. I couldn’t resist demonstrating how far photogrammetry technology has come since then. Using Pix4Dcatch paired with Emlid RTK, we can now capture terrestrial data with remarkable ease and precision, without compromising on quality. Exciting to see how these tools continue to transform the way we work!
