🧩 Auchan and Munch: A partnership leading to sustainability and innovation🧩 In the spring of this year, Auchan Retail Magyarország and Munch formed a showcase, paradigm-of-sorts for the strategic collaboration that saves food across borders. The impressive statistic reads as follows: 95% sell-through for Munch packs among all Auchan stores in Hungary. This is the result of innovations aiming to achieve objectives collectively. From the very beginning, through Munch's platform, Auchan has: - Saved more than 100 million HUF in food in just a few months, - Conceived and designed an easy-to-implement internal process for everyday operations to use in the saving of food. 🔑 Key to Successful Collaboration "This cooperation transcends what is traditionally termed as collaboration," Kirill Perepelica, co-founder of Munch, said. "This requires continual innovation and improvement, truly, great packages that deliver for the customer and sustainability." Moreover, internal enthusiasm underpins Auchan's commitment to sustainability. In this way, business priorities are blended with ESG priorities. 📈 The result? Scalable, impact-generating initiatives that become the paradigms of food retail sustainability partnerships. Let's reimagine together the future of food retail. 🌍

Two inspiring days at the Corvinus University of Budapest Career and Business Festival! 🎓 On November 12-13, we had the privilege of being part of the Corvinus Career and Business Festival at Corvinus University of Budapest. Representing Munch, András Kosdi-Kovács, Réka Papik and Odett Klemm had the pleasure of meeting curious, motivated students eager to learn more about sustainable initiatives and career opportunities at our company. 💡Highlights from the event: - Engaging in conversations with students passionate about making a difference. - Sharing our journeys at Munch and what it's like to work for a company with a mission to combat food waste. - Discussing career opportunities for young talents who want to grow with us. - Getting positive feedback about the Munch app from the students already using it. Seeing so many enthusiastic students interested in combining their career goals with a sustainable, meaningful cause was truly inspiring. 🦸🏻♀️ Thank you, Corvinus, for hosting such an amazing event!

🌍 3 Million Packages Saved! 🌍 We are beyond proud to share that Munch has reached an incredible milestone – we've officially saved 3 million food packages globally! 🎉 Across 4 countries, with the help of 4,000 partners and more than 2 million food savers, we've worked together to make a real impact. This achievement wouldn't be possible without our incredible partners – SPAR Magyarország, PENNY Česká republika, PENNY Hungary, Auchan Retail Magyarország, Starbucks, and many others – who have joined forces with us to fight food waste. Together, we've saved food that would have otherwise gone to waste, saved valuable resources, and reduced greenhouse gas emissions. 🌱 A massive thank you to our dedicated team, whose hard work and passion drive these achievements every day. And of course, a big thank you to our customers for supporting our mission to build a more sustainable future. 💚 Together, we’re making a difference, one meal at a time. 🍴

🚀 Meet the Team Series: Spotlight on Erika Šimková, our CZ Partner Success Specialist 🚀 Every week, we’re introducing you to a different team member, sharing their journey and experiences at Munch! 🎙️ This week, let’s dive into the story of Erika, who's passionate about building strong partnerships, ensuring food doesn't go to waste, and discovering behind-the-scenes insights from our partners! 🍽️🤝 What initiatives or activities at Munch do you find most rewarding? As a Partner Success Specialist, I regularly communicate with our partners to ensure our collaboration benefits both sides 🤝. What I find most rewarding is seeing the positive impact — our partners’ packages are selling well, and thanks to Munch, they’re not throwing good quality food away 🚮❌. Personal meetings with owners and managers are also very enriching; learning their stories and getting behind-the-scenes insights makes me feel like a part of their journey. What qualities do you think are essential for a successful team? Being open-minded, respectful, and aligned with the company's mission are key qualities. A successful team has clear and efficient communication 🗣️ and continuously strives for improvement. What I love about Munch is that whether it’s managers or co-founders, everyone is open to feedback and discussion. They genuinely want to hear our suggestions, which helps us move forward and makes the team feel seen and heard 👂🤍. What motivated you to join Munch? Before working at Munch, I knew the app well and used it a few times myself 📱. Having spent almost 9 years in gastronomy, I saw much food going to waste. The idea of saving food spoke to me, and as a foodie, it’s also a fun way to discover new food spots! When the opportunity came to join Munch, I knew it was a great match — bringing together my experience in hospitality, marketing, and consulting in a role that aligns with my values. 🍴 What’s one item on your bucket list you hope to check off soon? I love traveling and exploring new places, and one of my bucket list items is visiting New York. It's been on my list for the past 15 years 🗓️, and this November, it’s finally going to come true! 🎉

As part of our series introducing the incredible people behind Munch, we’re excited to introduce Mihaela Matei, Sales Team Lead in Romania. 💼 What do you think makes Munch a great place to work? Munch is a great place to work because you have the opportunity to work only with passionate people who are not afraid of pulling up their sleeves to make things happen. Also, doing more with less trains your creativity a lot, here you have to think outside the box regularly. ✨ What qualities do you think are essential for a successful team? I think the most important quality in a successful team is to always have each other's back. My team members understood that individual success isn't as sweet as the group's. 🍬 Also, resilience, open communication, engagement, and openness to constant challenges are qualities met in my successful team. How has your role evolved since you started at Munch? I joined Munch in January 2024 as a Key Account Manager and signed the first Key Account in Romania. At the official launch date in the country, 47% of the active partners were onboarded by me. Since the 15th of August, I've been promoted to a Romanian Sales Team Lead, having responsibility independent sales team, the KA team, and also the national expansion. 💥 What are the three words that can describe you the most? storyteller, joyful, hardworking 🗣️ Stay tuned, because the series continues...

New series - Introducing the people behind Munch 🤗 We are happy to announce the launch of a new series, where you will get to know our team members better through mini-interviews. In the first episode, we would like to introduce András Kosdi-Kovács, our People & Culture Manager, who works tirelessly every day with his professional approach and reliable personality to make Munch a welcoming and inspiring work environment for everyone. 🌱 1. How would you describe the company culture at Munch? 🚪 The company culture is characterized by the fact that every team member feels a personal connection to Munch's vision and mission, which means we work together wholeheartedly towards a common goal. The work environment is based on trust, one of the cornerstones of which is the Open Door Policy: anyone can approach me, their team leader, or the founders with any question or problem so that we can solve difficulties together. Naturally, all conversations are treated confidentially, and if further steps are needed, we work out those steps together with the team members involved. As a result, we can resolve issues before they escalate into more serious personal or professional conflicts within the team. 2. What qualities do you think are essential for a successful team? 🙌 The most important qualities are helpfulness and the courage to ask for help. Everyone in the team has different strengths, so it's important that when faced with a challenge, we can rely on each other. No one is alone with their tasks: today I help my teammates, and tomorrow they will help me. 3. How has your role evolved since you started at Munch? 📈 I've come a long way at Munch, starting as an Operations Specialist and becoming the People & Culture Manager. I joined the company in the summer of 2022 as part of the Operations Team. During the interview, I mentioned that as a student specializing in HR, this was the direction I was most interested in for the future. Shortly after I started, I was involved in recruitment processes, and a few months later, I took over HR entirely. I worked as a solo HR Generalist for nearly a year, and last year, I established my team, so my main focus became employee well-being and company culture. 4. If you could live anywhere in the world for a year, where would it be and why? 🇮🇹 I would live in Italy because I am very attracted to the life-affirming, positive attitude typical of Italians. I particularly love Italian culture and cuisine, and a year would give me enough time to explore every city, coastline, and mountain region.
