Healthcare UX isn’t about conversion rates. It’s about survival. A good design doesn’t always make someone spend more time. It gives time back. It doesn’t drive clicks. It prevents mistakes. In healthcare, the right design decision can mean the difference between clarity and confusion, between action and delay, between life and death. Yet, we’re still dealing with: • Discharge instructions that read more like an invoice. • Medication ordering systems so antiquated they cause prescribing errors. • Patients stuck on hold for an hour just to reschedule an appointment. The challenge isn’t just bad UX... It’s the layers of constraints: compliance, liability, economics. But that’s also why this work matters. The system doesn’t fix itself. It needs UX specialists who know how to work inside the mess and still make things better. The problems aren’t solved yet. That’s the opportunity. If you are interested in transitioning into healthcare UX we have an upcoming class starting March 1 (limited scholarships still available): https://lnkd.in/gaNDBRTc If you could fix one thing in healthcare UX, what would it be?

  • Ever struggled to find a button in an app you use every day? 😵💫 That’s your cognitive load at work. Memory plays a huge role in how users interact with digital products. The brain can only hold so much information at once—so great product design should work with, not against, human memory. Swipe through for key lessons from cognitive psychology that every product designer should know. 👉 #UXDesign #CognitivePsychology #UserExperience #DesignTips #ProductDesign

  • Not every challenge needs a full-time hire. Sometimes, bringing in a specialist is the smarter move.  A design system expert, for example, can: 🔹 Audit your product 🔹 Build a solid system 🔹 Work with developers on implementation 🔹 Train your team to use it What about other areas? Here are more ways our experts can step in and make an impact: ⬇️

  • Prototyping is like a designer and a researcher dancing together on thin ice.🕺🏽 The line between their work is very thin. They have to put together something where both of their expertise is needed.  Researchers must try to think visually, and designers must keep in mind the logical steps so that the proto 'lives' at the end. Smooth collaboration is critical at this stage because a slight misunderstanding can lead to a completely unusable result. How do we tackle this challenge at UX studio? Has AI changed how we 𝘢𝘤𝘵𝘶𝘢𝘭𝘭𝘺 learn from research? The last couple of times I did desk research for a UX project or some scientific literature review for an article or case study, my go-to tools were AI-assisted—for a reason. What I find the most valuable that it speeds up and automates these steps: 🔹 Find key studies and pull out useful data or create summaries. 🔹 Spot patterns and connections across many research papers. 🔹 Clearly link insights to original sources for transparency. 🔹 Ensure no important paper gets missed. 🔹 Extract detailed data, even from tables in studies. Even though this process saves me a lot of time, I realize it’s fundamentally different from how I approached research before—like when I was writing my thesis. But what if I had Elicit and other AI tools back then? My reference list might have looked the same, but the process would have been different. The lightbulb moments—the realization of what a field is focused on, where the gaps are, and how different studies connect—might have been fewer. Even the "dead ends" were valuable; sometimes, I’d stumble upon an obscure MA thesis with a fresh perspective and a well-curated literature review. That built a deep understanding—a mental map of the field—where I could connect studies, recall key findings, and discuss them in detail because I spent time with it often reading articles word by word. Have AI tools changed the way you engage with research? Do you feel uneasy about how literature reviews have evolved, or do you see this as a natural, inevitable shift? I'm not sure... 📷 A shot from my university library—where I accessed journal databases on painfully slow library computers. Maybe it’s nostalgia, but research felt different then. #AI #UXResearch #BehavioralScience #LiteratureReview #AcademicResearch
