Kisvárda Master Good and Várda Football Academy

Our ancestors raised the flag on the 8th of November 1911 and founded - as it was called then - the Kisvárda Sports Club, the KSE. In 1953, our current sports centre, the Várkert Sports Centre, was built. KSE or Kisvárda Vasas SE played mostly in the third division, spending the 1978/79 season in the second division. The rapidly developing Kisvárda was granted the status of a town on the 1st of April 1970, and this created new opportunities in sports. The leaders of the city at the time took the initiative to join forces in the sporting life. This is how the Kisvárda Sports Association was founded on 26th of October 1971, by merging the clubs of the time. The KSE was terminated due financial difficulties in 2001 and only in 2003 a new football team was formed in Kisvárda, under the name Várda SE. In 2013, when the team won the right to start in the NB II, the club decided to revert to the name Kisvárda and change the Várda SE referring to the historical tradition. However, the junior club was mostly in the third division, and in 1978/79 it was in the second division. The leaders of the city at the time took the initiative to join forces in the sporting life. In 2013, when the team won the right to start in the NB II, the club decided to revert to the name Kisvárda and change the Várda SE referring to the historical tradition. However, the junior teams continue to play in the MLSZ junior championships under the name Várda SE Kisvárda, using the former Várda SE. After the relegation in 2014, the Kisvárda Master Good team immediately fought their way back to the NB II, where they finished fourth as a rookie and then improved one position each year, finishing second in the second division in 2017-2018, to reach the NB I for the first time.
