We are pleased to share our featured sixth edition of the AP Newsletter written by Mokki Arianto and Bima Odityo, where we discuss about sustainable securities in Indonesia. We, furthermore, examine the implementation of sustainable finance for financial service institutions, issuers, and publicly listed companies, as regulated by the Financial Services Authority Regulation Number 18 of 2023 (POJK 18/2023). POJK 18/2023 introduces a new framework that broadens the scope of Environmentally Sustainable Debt Securities and Sharia Securities (EBUS). Given the extensive coverage of this regulation, our discussion this time is focused on the adjustments required for the issuance of Green Bonds/Sukuk, Social Bonds/Sukuk, Sustainability Bonds/Sukuk, Sukuk-linked Waqf, and Sustainability-linked Bonds/Sukuk.
