Gunung Lewotobi, Flores Timur, NTT, mengalami erupsi pada November lalu, baik di awal maupun akhir bulan, memuntahkan kolom abu setinggi 900 meter ke angkasa. Bencana ini memaksa ribuan jiwa meninggalkan rumah mereka dan kehilangan sumber penghasilan. Sebanyak 2.500 keluarga kini kehilangan tempat tinggal. Beternak dan bertani, yang selama ini menjadi tumpuan ekonomi mereka, terpaksa berhenti. Ratusan keluarga memilih untuk menjadi pengungsi mandiri di Kabupaten Sikka, Larantuka, yang berjarak 110 kilometer dari Gunung Lewotobi. Pemukiman baru untuk para penyintas sedang dibangun, namun proses ini akan memakan waktu beberapa bulan sebelum mereka dapat menempatinya. Selama itu, mereka harus berjuang untuk bertahan hidup di tengah keterbatasan. Dalam gerakan #PeduliLewotobi, Impact Hub Jakarta mendukung Flores United untuk membantu para penyintas, memulihkan kehidupan mereka, dan membangun kembali harapan baru.
