Kolaborasi Inklusi Konservasi (KONKLUSI) is a newly established Indonesia-based non-profit organization that was co-founded by three young and passionate conservationists in February 2020. Having the stated vision, "For every person, to witness a world where wildlife thrives, and to value its conservation as a moral obligation." We carry two main missions: 1. to conserve neglected endangered species by putting local people at the center of conservation efforts 2. to inspire people to be involved in collaborative and inclusive conservation efforts. To achieve this, we adopted our main values into collaboration and inclusion. We believe every person, no matter what background, can take a role in collective conservation effort and make it impactful, relatable, and fun as it ever was. Therefore we have established KONKLUSI as an NGO that can remain dynamic, focused, and that puts local people at the center of conservation. KONKLUSI’s main activities are: 1. Collaborating for research on the conservation of Indonesia's neglected endangered species 2. Facilitating collective conservation efforts through the involvement of people from diverse backgrounds. We are currently starting-up three pioneering projects to save threatened species from extinction: - In search of remnant population of the Siamese crocodile using eDNA - Understanding people and their traditional relationship with Long-beaked echidna - Participatory storybook-making to accelerate conservation of Indonesia neglected endangered species by connecting early-career story-maker, illustrator, and conservationist

    Great to see the NewtCam in action in Indonesia and capturing some great footage. Really encouraging to see it hold up well in humid field conditions.

    The NewtCam experiment has obtained some results. KONKLUSI is getting the opportunity to try out a tool to monitor and asses freshwater wildlife. It's fascinating moments when we capture some river black snails (Melanoides tuberculata) and tadpoles. We installed this tool in 2 different places in Tempel, Sleman: first, we put it on a small river with a floating position and second in a pond with a submerged position. So far, NewtCam successfully captured and recorded the movement of animals entering the NewtCam. Some of the leaves running through the tunnel are also captured. This tool has worked without any problems in the fairly humid environment in the Mount Merapi area for 4 weeks. Thank you, NHBS and Luxembourg Institute of Science and Technology (LIST) for giving us the opportunity to do some trials for NewtCam in Indonesia. Thanks to Omahnoto Plankton for giving us a place to this trial
