Update

  • Wrapping up 2024, we’re looking back at a year full of meaningful progress. From empowering waste workers to launching new programs, it’s been a journey of impactful change. Mahija Parahita Nusantara 2024 Highlights: 📚 1,200+ children benefited from our Adopted School Program and mobile learning reached 290+ kids and workers. 🌍 The Responsible Sourcing Initiative officially launched, paving the way for ethical recycling in Indonesia. ❤️ Health services reached over 11,700 waste workers in 23 locations. None of this would’ve been possible without the support of our partners, team, and the communities we serve. Here’s to making an even greater impact in 2025! HAPPY NEW YEAR! #MahijaParahitaNusantara #recycle #recyclinghero #responsiblecollection

  • Throughout 2024, Semangat Sehat Mahija, in collaboration with Synergy and Hatiplong, has been dedicated to addressing the essential health needs of recycling heroes. We reached out to those with limited access to formal healthcare services, providing physical examinations, health education, and psychological support. The results? Common issues such as hypertension, upper respiratory tract infections, and high stress levels remain significant challenges within the recycling hero community. This program is more than just healthcare—it is a meaningful step toward showing proper appreciation for those who play an important role in environmental sustainability. Together, let’s continue creating real change in 2025. 💚 Mahija Parahita Nusantara #MahijaParahitaNusantara #recyclingheroes #responsiblecollection

  • In November, Mahija Parahita Nusantara proudly joined the INC-5 Side Event in Busan, South Korea, to introduce our foundation and the ongoing Responsible Sourcing Initiative (RSI) in Indonesia, carried out in collaboration with The Circulate Initiative (TCI). At TCI’s session, “A Just Transition for Waste Pickers: Solutions Towards Inclusive Responsible Sourcing in Plastics Supply Chains,” we shared updates on our work to empower waste pickers in Indonesia, focusing on ethical supply chains. We also discussed our next steps to further strengthen these efforts and ensure long-term impact. Additionally, we participated in a networking session with members of the National Plastic Action Partnership (NPAP), exchanging ideas to promote sustainable and responsible waste management practices globally. From this global forum, we bring back learnings, collaborations, and the spirit to continue moving toward a more sustainable future. 🌍💚 #MahijaParahitaNusantara #ResponsibleSourcing #WastePickers #Sustainability

  • Semangat Sehat Mahija successfully reached Subang for the very first time! Through this program, we provided health check-up services while raising awareness about the importance of health among our dedicated recycling heroes. This event in Subang also marked the conclusion of Semangat Sehat Mahija for 2024. We are deeply grateful for the enthusiasm and support from everyone involved. As we close this year's journey, we look forward to visiting more locations in 2025, empowering more recycling heroes along the way. Together, let's create a healthier and more sustainable future! 🌍 Mahija Parahita Nusantara #MahijaParahitaNusantara #SemangatSehatMahija #RecyclingHeroes

  • In November, Coca-Cola Europacific Partners (CCEP) employees joined a meaningful volunteer activity at Kejar Daya Mandiri (KDM) school, one of the 8 informal schools partnered with Mahija. Together with the students, they explored the school's unique facilities like catfish ponds and greenhouses and participated in inspiring sessions, from storytelling and coloring to practical lessons on job interview tips. Each moment at KDM is a step toward a brighter future. This activity is a reminder that education goes beyond the classroom—it’s about dreaming boldly and taking real steps forward. KDM’s dedication to empowering the younger generation perfectly aligns with Mahija’s vision. Together, we believe even the smallest actions can create meaningful change. #MahijaParahitaNusantara #recycle #recyclinghero #responsiblecollection

  • As part of the ‘Membangun Harapan Indonesia’ initiative, ANET is excited to introduce Mahija Mobile School 🚙✨. Currently, Mahija Mobile School is operating in the Jabodetabek and Subang areas. We hope Mahija Mobile School will provide a fun and valuable learning opportunity for children in Indonesia 😊. #MahijaParahitaNusantara #recycle #recyclinghero #responsiblecollection #MahijaMobileSchool #MembangunHarapanIndonesia
